I capped 2 Perseus. After the end of the plot I returned to claim them. That done, I tried to command them to fly to a Shipyard, but no commands work. Only when I'm onboard, can I command the autopilot to dock at a station.
Anybody seen this?
Yes i have this problem too, i also reported it in the techforum. But if it's known maybe next patch will fix no ???

just wanted to thank the guys at egosoft for the continued hard work. I know you got alot of crap during the betas. personaly, I like seeing th ework in progress, and pretending that my input is useful. so, thanks again, and keep up the good work!
Just wanted to thank you guys for putting this patch out -- the game is now playable again! 1.3 had just killed the performance to a point where it wasn't worth playing, and now, things are back in gear. Thanks!
I have no mods installed, though I did from previous saved games. I did encounter a glitch with one saved game (my latest) had a problem with from 1.3 (saved) to 1.3.2 (load). I attempted to load it a few times more, and it worked on the third or fourth try.
I run in windowed mode.
I'm very happy with this patch. I just wanted to put this in here for the devs who see nothing but complaints (which of course helps make a better product if properly submitted), here is a kudos that things are going well here.

My eternal gratitude to Egosoft for their magnificent work with the 1.4 patch, this has solved every problem I was encountering on my vastly underpowered system ^_^
(The onboard sound couldn't play the Verbose ship computer, or communications speech and Ore Belt was as dangerous to my PC as a Xenon Sector is to a Nova [a sitting duck])
Pity me, for my PC is old, uses a zimmer frame and in need of a hip replacement
Very good patch, thanks Egosoft, thanks Community !
Specialy for fixing random frezze bug.
The install was perfect, 1.3 saves loads perfect, perfomance become perfect, game runs nearly perfect and very stable, making me happy !
Heh, it seems almost all X-universe games becomes 100% playable at 1.4
So was w/ X-tension, X2, now X3... Need to remember that for future.
"... We are the Borg, lower your shields and surrender... "
Hmmm ... kind of gave up with X3 after Xmas when 1.3 was released (all those mini-asteroids just killed my poor old FX5200!!!).
I've just read all of this thread and there is a marked difference to the 1.3 release thread - which started out all "hurrahs" and "it's so great" and ended up all "it's so awful". This thread however, is generally positive throughout.
Anyway, time to see if I can get X3 working ... come on FX5200 - you can do it!!!!
Joining the mass of happy users that installed patch 1.4, just wanted to say GOOD work Egosoft finally.
Patch 1.4 fixed most of the "Critical" issues with the game and made it playable on wide range of different hardware configurations. You guys have managed to iron out issues that made people unhappy with X3 resulting in leaving this beautiful game on some shelf to collect dust.
Indeed it is good to see a thread on this Forum that praises your work as opposed to thousands of complaints that this Forum was mostly about before, but having said that you probably understand now that WE, the "X - Universe" community are not bad people and KNOW how to express their gratitude for the work WELL DONE! Like in the case of patch 1.4.
I would also like to express my gratitude to Scripting and Modding community. These people have greatly expanded the functionality of this amazing game and were trying their hardest to help the community to keep the game alive before the patch comes out, so they deserve to be mentioned as well. They have undoubtedly helped EGOSOFT overcome many problems and made this game into what it is today.
I am happy for those who do not have any problems.
It’s not that simple for me. I formatted the hard disk and loaded new WindowsXP only; I loaded the game and updated with 1,0 to 1,4 patch. I started a new game and experienced a problem right away!!!
It runs smoothly and suddenly it stops for a few seconds (or milliseconds but it is noticeable) then it continues and again happens. I ran with SETI at 10X and it runs smoothly and had the same stops occasionally. It is very bad in Argon Prime and close to stations (I have not visited Ore Belt yet)
It is getting worse I think when glow and everything is on (anti-aliasing, etc.)
The graphic card is the best I could get (6600GeForce)
The card has a max core temperature (there is a spinner running on the card) monitoring.
2.4Gh Pentium IV (Intel); 512Mb RAM all above the minimum specs.
Compaq computer (from the factory).
Could it be because of SoundBluster!Live?
Any suggestions?
The PC never had any problems with any games.
Thanks Egosoft - it's great to see commitment - a rare event in the throw away society of today. 1.4 has greatly improved performance on my Shuttle FN85 (love those fade-in's on the 'roids)
I've had a couple of CTD's since installing 1.4 but they have only occurred during reloading the previous save - once the game is fired up again no probs .
One thing I did notice was on the last BBS mission I took against a Hercules that the direction of fire from my HEPT's seemed to visually go over the target even though the Herc more or less filled the screen - still wiped him out tho!! $$$$$$
Any chance of an option to disemble and move complexes in a patch or 2's time? Also perchance an ejector seat for the obnoxious "Factroy trip" BBS who wants a sector jump with no chance of making the deadline?
After a week of 1.4 I'm so happy. I can now run Kingdom End smoothly and I can take advantage of all the mini asteroids in dogfights - as in luring m5s to an impactive demise - without dropping to 1-2 spf!
Even Argon Prime is tolerable now, although sadly Seizewell is still off limits to me.
I just wanted to say again thanx for your hard work on this patch. It has really made this into an enjoyable game.
I wonder of there's an x4 in the works? The introduction of Space Marines/Mercenaries and the ability to capture and control stations and sectors would be outstanding.
yes thank you, i bought it upon release, i had to run it at 1024*768 with the hud off most of the time as it was just soo performance grinding, now 1.4 comes out and it runs fantastically at 1280x1024 with AF on, i need to overclock my gfx card a little bit more so AA doesnt cause the slightest bit of slowdown.
