NEWS: Update 1.2 for X³: Reunion OUT NOW!

According to EBGames, X3 is only being shipped to the stores Nov. 3, and is expected to arrive Nov. 8. It's being shipped one week after the patch. I wonder if Enlight upgraded the game to 1.2?

there are a few download sites to choose from. which is the best from the us and on a dialup?

Also, I think that the file is going to take about 10 hours to download, will the site support the resume funtion on my DAP when i get disconnected ( it will be about twice for certain).

So glad the patch is here!! And the new game is all that I hoped for and then some.

US versions will also be 1.0

I'd advise you to use this site rather than any third party ones.

If you use a download manager such as GetRight then you will be able to resume your download if you get disconnected.

just got my US copy today, i noticed theres no US version of the patch, so am I to assume the UK patch is compatible with the US version of the game? IIRC X2 has diff patches for UK and US so i was wondering if this was the same deal and that we would have to wait for a US patch?

The patch will work with all currently released versions of the game.

been a pain dealing with all the CTDs and stuff in vers 1.0 today

finished the 2nd mission FOUR times and each time i would go to dock to save and bam back to desktop, then finally saving it i start heading to argon prime to "check stuff out" and after each sector i would go through CTD again. Funny really i have spent all day playing (i mean like 7-8hrs) and have only about 1 1/2hrs of game time in LOL

Where did you get your US copy? I checked again with EBGames and was told that Enlight had not even shipped it to the EBGames warehouse for distribution to the stores.

I didn't have much luck with EBGames or Gamestop just alot of should be today or tomorrow.

So I Called BestBuy asked if they had it in and they said yes , then They asked if I'd like them to hold a copy for me until I got there

.
seems that many of the best buys recieved 9 copies.

I wouldn't rush off to pick it up unless you know it's available. call and ask if they have it in before making the trip if the 1st place you call doesn't have it try calling the next store. it takes alot less time than driveing from place to place.

Any idea when the "late game CTD" patch is coming???

I've been playing for a few days now and CTD's are popping up everywhere.

IMO this is way more important an issue than the HUD performance issue. A few more FPS with the HUD still on is nice but the CTD's totally stop anyone from from playing past a couple of days.

Is it possible for Egosoft to send people copies of the patch by post on a CD? Not all of us have Broadband and to download a 73.5 MB patch via a dial-up connection is pretty much not going to happen, no matter how much I loved X2. Even if the download didn't falter, I would still be looking at it taking over 6 hours.

It may be faster to have a friend DL and burn it for you
or find someplace you can DL it and burn to cd it or save it to a flash drive.
I feel for ya 73MB is a large DL for a dialup connection. Good luck

I will check with Best Buy tomorrow (I'm off then). Unfortunately, I have reserved (partly pre-paid) for X3 at EBGames.

Back when X2 came out, we did not get the first copy into Amarillo until two weeks after Dallas, and it looks like it may happen again.

im in the uk and im yet to purchase my copy of x3
is there any chance that a copy will be released with the patch already on the disc
because i only have dial up using my mobile phone as a modem which is 2k to 5k max

it would take me 24 hours to download that patch and i have no way of downloading it via broadband
if a updated version isnt released i will not purchase the game at all because im not buying a game with so many glitchs on it only to find out im stuck with it

im sure theres gonna be more people feeling the same please egosoft pull one out of the bag for us internet less people

Whereabouts in the uk are you? I am in the e/mids if you want I could download it again , and burn it for you, its just a cd!
