I will do a proper test with only SRM and Phanom Corp tonight. Hopefully I can narrow down the problem, it would be a shame not to have Phanom Corp in my game :(

I tried it myself. There does not seem to be a problem, and all ship assignments in Phanon work fine with SRM.

It doesn't go into debt? O_o if it's not SRM then I'm going to have to narrow it down between all my other stuff.

Thank you for this, I have read the entire thread for any possible conflicts with scripts that I want to run in a new modded game (I keep vanilla and modded games seperate with new starts, adds to the longevity of the great X series for me). Everything was looking good until you mentioned that SRM was incompatible.

Many thanks for all the hard work that went into creating this, mods / scripts that add life and challenge to the X verse in believable ways are always my favourites.

Will provide feedback as I intend to try to go through all the generations with Phanon running from the start, but will be some time as I don't use any cheat scripts and forbid myself the use of any get rich quick schemes like Nividium mining.

As a new player I found that present AI dumb, DULL and most importantly POINTLESS!. [I rarely play games for the "missions" and "quests" I want to COMPETE!!!

The AI with all its grand stations and HQ's does nothing but sit around in space and provide me with a mirage of "artificial life".

I HATE the GOD model of just spawning ships and stations with no real economic model. So if I blow up some AI ships there is no point..respawn..respawn ...respawn...

I was on the brink of quitting the x universe because I found this to be insufferable.

As a Gamer who plays RTS style and Civilization model type games.... this script will breath new life into the game for me.

*******My dream would be to have a X3 universe with a 4x theme game play like Civilization...Space Empires...etc.**********

I extend my warmest thanks and I hope you continue to improve and expand your script.

I've looked at the core CMOD package. There should be no problems, as it doesn't change TShips.

While I like the plugin and don't mind PC befriending pirates/yaki, allying with xenon/khaak is immersion breaker for me. I know I can edit relation and notoriety in the script but will PC go trigger happy on khaak/xenon or will they only defend against them ? I would rather avoid the former and keep PC's offensive focused on the player.

edit: Also, is it possible to give PC some additional boost when activated mid/late-game ?

@Paz3r: To give the Phanon a boost, read the first post. There's a T file you can edit to change the salary of the Phanon.

As for changing the relations, if you want them only to defend, change the relations one way Xenon -> Race 1.

Is there any diplomacy planed ?
Like paying X credits to get friendly again ( after shooting some of their ships hehe) or paying money to get help for sector defense etc ?
I see a lot of possibilities there :)

I am thinking about expanding it, to be honest. What most people seem to be asking for is relationship changes; the ability to be friendly with the Phanon Corp.

When I first started writing this plugin about two years ago, I thought to myself, what's the point? How would they be different, gameplay wise, from any other job ship or vanilla corp? But the people have spoken, and my thoughts on the subject are changing. It might be more interesting and dynamic to have a choice.

I'll be working on it.

Another option is to made another corporation and the player has to choose who of both he wants friendly, like hostile corporations who don't like each other etc

It would be fine if you could change the relations between khaak, Xenon and the phanom corp. They should be enemies. Pirates and Yaki can stay friendly as this corp can have special connections ;) But Xenon and Khaak? No way. The Phannom Corp shouldn't launch attacks on enemy sectors but defend itself like everyone else.

Thanks for this mod, Litcube. Just got back into X3 and was looking for something like this.

I will agree, though, that I'm not so keen on the corporation being friendly with Khaak and Xenon.

Keep up the good work and hope to see a mod in the future with multiple corporations all competing against each other and the player :)

A quick question, since I will need to do a restart once I install this. I'm slightly confused on the salary that can be edited for the Corporation here. How often is this salary given to Phanon? Is it an amount that is given recurrently over a time period, a fixed one-time amount given to them on start-up of the corporation, or a combination of the two?

Good question.

Salary is given to the current generation of Phanon Corporation every 60 seconds.

Secondly, you don't need to restart if you haven't even installed it yet. :)

So basically if you start a new game and start the Mod along to see who's going to win
when you reach your first million ( if you dont use all bug way money making stuff like with nividium )
the phanon corp will have.. well whats the fair number 1-2 billion?
Is it possible to make it so that they get a 1time salary investment and thats it, they must use it to their advantage and not get 40-50m EVEN if their transports dont give any Income ( like if the player counstantly hunts them )

Before I rewrite the mod at your behest, when I work out the math, the first generation of Phanon Corp would take 3.9 years of game time to reach 1 billion credits via salary. What figure do you get?
