X3: Terran Conflict Update 2.6 is here!

I know I mentionned that earlier and I never received a honnest answer. I Like to know Why EGOSOFT do not release on a patch the Grifon, Astraeus hauler, Tern and any others M7, M3 also Experimental weapon (in the Manual) Tri beam per exemple ...that are part of the official game plan but never been release. I know you can get then thru cheat but by the game been out for so long now I don't undestand, any longer, why we have to cheat to have them? Can you please Egosoft answer my querry I trully love to be able to fly a Tern one day (Legaly!)

Posting out of will to express gratitude towards everyone who helped in the creation of yet another great update. This is what I (along with certain other individuals) have been waiting for. New adventures have been brewing... and now the flight must be off to spend yet another fair quantity of time "out there". *bow & salute*

I understand now that was the main reason then!! I truly belived egosoft are focusing on quality vs quantity.

Now! After puting so much effort on very good patch I'm wondering it will be time now and nice of course to complet the game. Per exemple When I buy a game and, the instuction manual tell me all the option avail and there some missing, I go to the store buying all the option so I have a complet toy

I know you tweak the game so much and I have the impression of complaining with a full belly. I just notice from all the cheat mod that are out there what people very like it`s new ships, weapons, factories, new sector and of course new mission (but that one you got it covers)

I only have one wish left is that one DAY I see X3 TC Completed and rebalanced to the fullest.

Again tank you for the work and support for one of the best game ever

Oh, is this update for X3:TC only? I'm currently play X3:R

Yes the 2.6 update is for X3 TC only, X3R is patched to 2.5 I believe, as your on steam it should be updated already.
There is also a bonus pack available for Reunion.
Look in the downloads section for X3 Reunion for this.

So from my last post what egosoft have to say about it...

Will we one day see the game completed to the fullest of the Instruction manual or this is just a DREAM Book!

While there are a few things in the manual that aren't in the game, there's a ton of stuff that's in the game following all the patches that isn't in the manual. I'd have to say that the additional content the devs at Egosoft have given us for free more than makes up for any missing items in the manual.

So don't take the manual as the 'gospel truth', because it isn't and was never meant to be. Manuals are usually prepared long before the game is finalized (it's a publisher's thing, you know), so they often contain things that never make it into a game.

Strange...On the date/time of this post steam downloaded 257.2MB update to X3TC. Strange part is I've been running v2.6 since release day. I did install the bonus pack yesterday, and I might be neededing to install it again.

Edit: It's just steam trying to think for itself. It wasn't happy with a modest 257.2MB file so it tried to download the entire game again...All 7500MB of it. I stoped it, restarted my PC and told steam to verify the game files. After a short 165MB download to fix whatever the problem was steam was happy with TC. Game still runs fine, bonus pack included.

Sorry if this has been answered, but I didn't feel like combing the 12 pages of this thread:

Will Steam achievements work with bonus pack? I.E. does the bonus pack still count as "vanilla" TC? The big warning in the first post is a little off-putting.

Yes (at least, it's supposed to - there's an issue with one of the functions, see the BP sticky for details).

Ahh, thanks for the EDIT. I was just about to post again asking what you were talking about.

Corrolary question: One of the BP threads said that Steam installs it automagically, but I'm sure I don't have any of the BP features in my game(s). Is this something I have to tell it to do?

The BP isn't on Steam, you have to download and install it manually.
