Personally I just stick to allying with the boron and claiming sectors for them for now

THIS SOUNDS SERIOUSLY AWESOME!!!!

Been reading through the post... and just got a couple quick questions:

1) How is the Stability going? Any Crashes, Freezes, etc. to worry about???

2) Going to download this now, and start adjusting my spreadsheet for Massive War. Hopefully by then this second question will be answered. Should I start a NEW game with this Script - or just install and keep going from where I am now? And if I should start a new one; any suggestions on which game works best with this script?

Oh... and in regards to one post I read; Yes, the Split should all burn... but the Borons should be used as Kindling!!! The Galaxy Belongs to the Humans!!!! :twisted:

Havent you been reading all posts?

There is a problem with the script. When you set alliances(for example set the Argon ally to Boron) they will still go at war with eachother. Mavor is probably fixing that now......

I don't know if this is a Known Issue or not; but I just recieved a message stating:

Your Ally, the Boron Race, has requested your assistance in Sector Null.

I can only 'Assume' if I fail to help out too often I'll lose them as an Ally... and thus... this could be a problem. Note: Its the first time I've recieve this request... as well as any other simular request with an actual sector or not.

Otherwise.... this Script is like.... WHOAAAAAA!!!!

BH for now just set the diplomatic aggressiveness of races to -40 as a temporary fix to the problem you are talking about.

Would it be possible to disable sector takeover by default, and allow us to enable it via AL? I can't prevent Argon from taking over the Goner Sector since it's on the moment the plugin is installed ;)

Sorry just cottened onto this thread . as an idea why not have the AI try to take over the bases with marines ? that way they can take the sector but to gain a complex they need to use marines. - I apologies if this has already been said

Then enemy ships would need to dock at station, since when a race invade another one the have rep set to -99999999 i dont think they ll dock.

Launching marines wont make the trick as stations are hardcoded and not meant to be captured - Cycrow.

Hm... Sounds interesting. Just a question:

Can you (yourself) take sectors over? How do you aprticipate in this events? If you can't do such in this script... How would affect to the gameplay combining it with Sector Takeover scirpts? For example, I'm inteidng to take over the "Pirate Corridor" east of central Argon space. Would they see me as hostile, ally? Depending on my notoriety with them?

I have a problem with this script :

Pirates lost ALL of their sector in 5/10 secs eventhough with a new and fresh restart. That's boring. May be races must have to build an outpost or have a MILITARY fleet to take sector control not juste ships...

FYI - Based on what I've been reading... everything is pretty random. In my game, the Pirates haven't lost everthing... and currently they're also holding Paranid Prime: Argon Took it from the Paranids, the Yaki took it from Argon, and now the Pirate took it from the Yaki; And with the Galleon there, I don't think they're giving it up anytime soon!!

However... I do agree that it should take a "Dock" to hold a sector.... and even moreso; they should be TL'd in - I've lost two sectors because my TL was too bloody slow getting here, and the Split *POP'D* in a ShipYard and re-Took control!!!

But on the Brightside... I love the Squeal Split make when the Suck Vacuum!!! :xenon:

I couldn't find this question asked in this thread.. so here goes :)

When you accept a build mission, does the beacon it spawns in the target system belong to a race? I ask because after I started to use this (excellent) script I've had some trouble with beacons not being in a system where I'm suppose to build a station.

What I think might have happened is that the beacon was destroyed (I'm just assuming they can be destroyed by gunfire) by a race that does not like the owner of that beacon.

Anyone else noticed this? Is it just me? It can of course just be my install that is somewhat bugged, but it only happens in a few of the missions.

I'm not sure if this problem appear - but I suppose that Gonners' because they are a little bit weak would disappear very quickly. So how we would buy insurance policy then? Maybe this thing should be also added to another station/ race?

BTW - I suppose that there should be added something like "alliance" or something - Argons/ Terrans/ Goners shouldn't fight. Borons also.

I just started and Presidnt's end was taken by Borons. I liked Borons, in the game they were our friends.

What do you think about it?

Hey... I'm not a scriptor or anything... just a user... but under the Command Menu you can open the Conflicts Menu; and from their Set-Up and Lock-In the Alliances you desire. I Love the fact that I can Now Blast Paranids in Boron Space --- It just Feels soooo Right!!!! :D

Also... if a Race doesn't have a 'Dock' Station and/or a certain number of ships, then just about anyone can take over a sector. I'm guess this is why/how the Borons took Presidents end.... they were probably just 'Passing Through'. I've been listening to the Terrans and ATF taking (Back and Forth) the Terran Sectors. Not sure what happened to their stations, but I know they are not at War.

2 Important things - first of all something may be screwed up, because after installing this script properly (I forogot to type second "l" in the "Thereshallbewings" at first) - my game sometimes freezes. It doesn't destroy all gameplay (it happens about 1 time per 1 hour - I'm not sure why - I also installed race patrols script and bailing script - so it could be some conflict between these mods). But it's annoying - I have to remember to save game after each important accident

But anyway - besides this technical problem I saw 2 things:

I just spotted great battle between Borons and Argons. Of course I joined Argons so battle changed up to them :) (I destroyed 3 Boron M7 myself :) and some minor units also - space is full of Boron abandoned ships :) - but I saw that after attacking one Boron ship not all ships treat me as an enemy - so I was able to attack 1 M7 and the rest of Boron fleet didn't attack me. It should be fixed. I'm not sure also - but after all these bad things I have done to Borons - they still don't treat me as their foe... This battle was in Boron sector and Argon fleet was an invading fleet.

And 2 thing - even that my help was crucial for Argons in this battle - they didn't reward me with "thanks" and reputation.

I think that when one race is in war with another killing their ships should be treated with some reputation reward. Of course - in such situations, when battle between fleets occur - it is specially important.

BTW - this battle was absolutely awesome. I have never seen something like that before in any other game. There was dozens and dozens of ships, I was just one of them - but I could really impact on the result of this battle.

If I was late- I suppose Argons would be defeated. Thankfully I was in my heavy Eclipse fighter (200 MJ shield - very useful)

Oh it seems that sometimes your status doesn't update to all ships in the sector if you go red to one of them, however, all OOS ships will go red to you if you piss off a race too much (including conflicts ships). :)

Working on the other issues that you guys are reporting (crash hasn't happened to me for awile so i'm not sure how to replicate it). The sector takeover weird stuff going on should be fixed next patch.

In regards to races rewarding you... you should recieve a substantial credit reward when your race takes a sector that you help in, so try sticking around until the sector flips and tell me if it is working alright for you.

Just installed the mod and it's great, I didn't think I would see this stuff happening so quickly but I jumped into a system the Terran's started to invade.

I am enjoying seeing the War between the Terran's and Argon advance, it's like a real war, thank you for your hard work with this script and please keep making it better!
