I downloaded and installed this hoping it would Ease the burden of running my empire (well, building one, so far only got an ore mine

) I never really liked the way Egosoft distributed the available ships, mods and stations anyway as they seemed to be random instead of some kind of logical progression.
Anyway, so far I have not located any of the shipyards or other stations by the other two mods in the Argon Prime area of Argon space so I guess they are not there. (nuts because that is where I really need them

)
So having read the whole thread I see that I can disable the plugins in the AL menu and they despawn then reenable it get them to spawn again in a new random place, right?
Does this require a restart between this action, or at the end of it? Or is it instant?
Alternatively is there an (easy, script noob friendly) way of modifying the script so they deply where I want them?
And thanks for this mod Stevio, when I find the shipyards I am sure it will rule.
EDIT: Ahh-hah! I found a way to get it to spawn much closer to me when manually running the script. I could not specify the system as I susspect this requires more knowledge than I have and the need to modify a plethora of scripts in the process but anyway here it is for anyone wishing to know.
First of all, open your script editor from your ship's command menu.
Next, find the script named al.stevio.shipyard.
The line $Sector = Find a random sector: startsector= $Sector , jumps= 100 , owner= $Race should be modified to show 'jumps= 1'. This will force the script to limit the radius of the spawn to within 1 jump of your current position when you manually run the script.
Next you don't want to be flying all over the place to find it so underneath this line are values for the random x, y and z axis location. Change the green values of -50 to 51 to anything you like to make them easier to find from the grid centre. Like -20 to 20.
Now, press escape to go back and save the changes you made. Then find the script again on the list and press r on your keyboard to manually run it. Select 'Null', then clock ok on the dialogue box that opens, click Select Station Type next and scroll down to find the one you want, ie argon, boron shipyard etc and select it. Then finally select Race on the last menu and choose who owns it.
This 'half assed hack job' guide was written by an idiot, for other idiots.
You can do this with Stevio's other station addons too by modding the same spawn file.
