I really can't believe this...the mod team writes a freaking book and gives it to us explaining the whole game, and yes, it's a new game the way they did it...and we still have guys who either didn't read it all, overlooked things, or are still hoping something that isn't in the mod can be forced in at the last minute. Unbelievable. If it's not in the manual, then you know it's probably not coming, and it's been said a hundred times before, the Sohnen aren't in the game anymore. Sorry to upset somebody, but asking the same questions over and over is just silly when they were answered before this. :(

Oh man. I have read the manuel last night. It was just2 awesome. All the informations about guns and so on ... this night i dreamed about it. Damn, I really the the mod :D

Would you happen to know if this will work on the MAC version of X3 TC? I haven't purchased one yet but I thinking of getting the new 27" iMac. Thanks.

As far as I know, the Mac-Version is still on a version number below 2.5. From 2.5 upwards it should be working (except, that you will have to extract it directly from an archive, instead of using the installer). But this is absolutly unconfirmed information - none of us owns a Mac, thus we don't know.

I run TC via Bootcamped XP on an iMac. It works great. Vista and 7 should also work.

The manuel is excellent, lots of nice ideas, new cargo sizes, race specific weapons etc etc etc.......

Any plans to do a spreadsheet or something showing all the ships, and their stats (and maybe one for the weapons and missiles) before the game comes out?

With the way we have pulled apart almost every file and put it back together again, it is unlikly that 90% of mods or scripts will work with XTC until the authors adjust their work to take the changes into account.

Like Trick said: no chance.

But I wouldn't be too surprised if something like that shows up shortly after release, created by folks in the community. Some people like to create such spreadsheets, so we'll gladly leave it to them ;)

Thank you for releasing the manual early. I really like what you did to the pirate clans, and you gave yaki their own faction slot :)

After the manual came out, I deleted all the old X games from my pc, made a nice clean new TC game and upgraded it from the Ego site...now it'll sit there until the mod comes out,like I said...this is a new game, we just need TC to get it started, so I'll be patient and be ready when the time comes..lol.

The map in XTC is completely new, so... should it?

About installation: will the mod install and work without problems on a Steam copy?
Friendly fire is not so friendly.

Steam installs will work - as long as you watch out for automatic updates it may decide to do - if it overwrites some of our stuff, well, reinstall time. ;)
