After reading this passionate lecture I know mostly all I wanted to know :) Nevertheless much questions are on the way, but I will try to limit myself to this one and wait till the release... So, each race developed their own weapon technology utilised by their ships (excellent idea), I'd like to know if flying e.g. Argon Elite limits me to use Argon weapons only ? In TC this ship is capable of PRG us which is Paranid weapon now. How this going to be in XTC, mounting weapons belonging to other races on a different ships, PRG on Elite in XTC ?

Guys, my girlfriend just left on a business trip that will last for 5 days.
Do I need to point out the obvious?
I can play this day and night now, but...

It's not here yet...

Waiting hurts even more since I have read the manual.
The stuff I have seen in the manual looks just AWESOME!

Very nice manual. I saw some really good game additions there. Good luck with the release. :)

How the weapons work is in the manual. ;)

How on earth did you guys manage to pack so many different weapons into the mod? I thought there was still a limit on gun types.
Admitting you have a problem is the first step in figuring out how to make it worse.

We tore the weapons system apart and put it back together again how we wanted it. ^^

Nigh impossible, sadly (or am i wrong?)

Will this be able to work with mods?

Let's assume XTC is awesome, but alot of people used to alot of scripts/mods might want the adition of lets say the Codea carrier system or what have you, will things allready made be able to work with XTC, will it not or will it be very limited, any information available? I didn't see anything about it in the manual.

Is it mod-able? The Answer is Yes.

But is it compatible with X3TC Mods? The answer will depend on the author of the mod if they'll update or create one for XTC.

I seem to remember that too, wasn't it essentally chucking crates of ore at people?

No, it was a gun which used ore as ammo. So... yes?


The idea was basically, if you hit an asteroid it seems to do an epically huge amount of damage. Therefore, rock must be epic at damaging ships. Therefore, Ore Cannon!

Good, as long Aldrians posses terraformers, they are a threat to all other races, and to the mankind. Only if they allow to destroy terraformers machines they will be free again.

The manual doesn't say anything about the M0 class ships and Sohnen presence, especially when I look at this http://www.thexuniverse.com/content/139 ... nuary-2010

No. The manual says all you need to know.
