Please read my readme. Change the mod when you using a spacesuit in a empty sector. And look in the inventory ("r") that none of your ships or station is in fight. than save-change and load.
Kk thank you.
Is this a combination of Shawn's cockpit mod and PSCO1's ?
It's based on Shawns CP, than I included my own Cp and when I have time I convertet PSCO1's CP for this mod.
please, is there any way of changing the cockpit of ship? becouse i got the Nomandy Sr2 mod, and the nromandy ship looks just awful, and it wrecks all the pleasure of cockpit mod.
I'm a new user but I've learnt the basics quickly. I just have one problem. Not all my ships have cockpits. Mainly my M4's and M3's (Sabre, Elite and Mamba and a few other ships) Larger ships like transports and M1's and M2's have cockpits and M5's.
Is this normal?.
Other mods I use are EMP, SRM Continued and Cmod4. I use SRM with the Hull, Xtra ships and the trailpack.
order as follows
14- EMP
15- SRM continued
16- ITS_X3TC_CP_Basis_5
17- ITS_X3TC_CP_Basispatch_51
18- ITS_X3TC_Full_CP_27
19- SRM Ship Hull mod
20- Cmod4
21- SRM Engine trails and effects
22- PSCO1_no_Info_Radar
If I move ITS_X3TC_Full_CP_27 to the highest number the game crashes when I load a save game.
I have done the astronaut save in an empty sector. (No effect)
Great mod by the way. Well done
Not sure if this will make a difference but I always Place the Its base and patch right after the basic X3 TC files, then everything else and then finally the full one that contains the Tship file. Also if you have added sripts with Cycrows plugin manager the Tships file in the types folder will be the one the game uses. You can use Xeditor 2 and copy and paste the Tships from the full folder into the types folderand see if this keepsyour game from crashing. Also its possible that EMP maybe causing some of the problem.
davida, you can find the editor here http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=216693, scroll down a bit its under tools, install it, once done that open the cat file for srm hull mod, go to the the types folder click on the tships file and select the t file editor option, then repeat the sme process for the cp_37 cat, on the two tships files go to cp first scroll down on the left to the ships you are talking about and select the model tab, second line down is the cockpit scene double click and copy the text then go to the other tships file repeat the process but paste instead of copy....

boogieman335 & garrry34, Thanks for the info. It works. Is there any way to speed up the process though. Manually doing that for all my ships without cockpits taking forever. (I used the cheat thing to spawn ships and test them and a whole load of them were missing cockpits)
I'm afraid for the moment this is the best option, the only other option is to change the file path to cockpit scenes, trust me that would be more annoying...

After thinking about it a little it might be wiser to put the PSC01 cat after the two ITS ones and then make sure to put the one thats named full as the highest cat in the folder. This should give you cockpits in all the ships except custom added ships. However the PSC01 has them a little different than the ITS one.I personally use both the PSC01 and the ITS one but I opened the PSC01 mod with cat editor and deleted the scenes I didn't want. This gives me more race specific cockpits as the PSC01 mod has race specific Split and Teladi cockpits while I like the USC ones better in ITS mod and it also adds the Boron specific cockpits. But as I say I had to delete certain ones to get the cockpits I wanted. Try loading upthe game without using the PSC01 and making sure ITS Full is the highest cat. If u have different cockpits this way than you had the other then this is most likely the problem and then you can play around with the order they are in until you find what works for you. Failing that I am afraid the only way to get the specific cockpits in all ships is to add them using Xeditor2, but I use it to add scenes to my cockpits as well thats how you get the backseat views in the USC fighters.
Ok after I tried the steps given, my saves kept crashing on loading so I reset everything. This time they are in this order.
14- EMP
15- SRM continued
16- ITS_X3TC_CP_Basis_5
17- ITS_X3TC_CP_Basispatch_51
18- PSC01 for SRM
19- ITS_X3TC_Full_CP_27
20- SRM Ship Hull mod
21- Cmod4
22- SRM Engine trails and effects
23- PSCO1_no_Info_Radar
Now I only get the PSC01 cockpits.
Using VFS to extract the ITS ships folder under objects, and copy it's contents into PSC01's ship folder so that PSC01's mod uses ITS' cockpits. Is that possible. If not, I might just stick to PSC01's cockpit mod, even though I prefer ITS'
What happens when you use the ITS full as the highest cat and dat set? Like I said in previous post I use them both but I simply deleted the cockpit scenes from PSC01's mod except the teladi and split ones for the m3,m4,m5. I don't use SRM at all so I'm not sure if that effects anything, but the only file contained in the ITS full is a Tship file. I always make it the highest number cat and dat set. But the Tship file in the types folder will be the one the game loads so you might have to copy and paste the scenes for indiviual ships the way you want them in this file.
Just tried this mod out and am liking this one better as my cockpit mod. Was a bit daunting trying to figure out what the author of the mod was trying to say in the readme, but I started a new game (I wasn't THAT far along in my old game anyway, still a noob) and put the mods in this order -
00-other cat files first
00-other dat files first
1- ITS_X3TC_Full_CP_27
2- ITS_X3TC_CP_Basis_5
3- ITS_X3TC_CP_Basispatch_51
- and it seems to be working so far. Just started though, so not a thorough test by any means, but I like it.
I don't have any major mods installed, just the Larger Gates mod and some scripts.
SRM adds a tship file. You can use this cockpit mod with it but some of the cockpits naturally show different scenes, and there is a possibility this is what caused your crash. I usually keep a backup of my types folder and if I add new ships or mods that add ships I add them to the tship file using Xeditor2. On occasion this expierimentation has lead to game crashes which I have sometimes been forced to resolve by starting a new game. Also modifications of the tcockpits file can cause crashes, and if you add scene files to the tcockpit file be advised that Cycrows plugin in manager will replace these files every time you use it so the need to keep a a backup of the types folder with any cutomized tship and tcockpit files.
Great cockpit mod! The only problem I find is it won't allow you to load the save file with some specific mods, like PSC01 mod. These 2 mods can't be used at the same time or the game will crash. I tried to start the new game with the 2 mods, still crash. You should choose ITS' or PSC01's. Great job anyway, ITS!
That's because they are both cockpit mods. However you can use both of them together but it requires setting ITS basic as cat 14,ITS patch as 15,and then PSC01 as 16, and then starting a new game. I assume you are wanting to use the race Specific files from PSC01's mod. In order to make this function you must delete the cockpit scenes in Psc01's mod that you don't want to use. The way I do it is I delete all the Boron, and all the M1, M2, TL for the Argon. This gives me the nice Argon capitol ship cockpits and Boron cockpits from ITS mod and the race specific fighter ones from PSC01. I also use the USC from ITS mod and add the hidden cockpits into the Tcockpits file to have the back seat views.
