As I said earlier, vanilla 2.5 game, no script. I started a new game for 2.5.pjknibbs wrote:It's a bug that seems to be unique to your game, then, because that didn't happen for me. Are you running any scripts or mods that might have interfered here?
It is not just me. Earlier in this very thread there is another player with the same problem as me.
This is not the tech support of L3 test, so I did not mention it, but if someone is interested, I can provide 2 save games, one at the exact location -10,10,-70 and one at the Scanning message (with the Xperimental shuttle spawning). Both vanilla 2.5 of course.

Please do so.VincentTH wrote:I can provide 2 save games
Given you are in the right sector, you should get a guidance alert to do something. My guess would be you are in the wrong sector, but its just a guess...ympcylo wrote:Troubles with hint one

ok then, the coordinates are right so no Idea why its not working.
You should try and provide more detailed info about what you did so far, otherwise we will be here guessing all day.
All I can say is that once you get under 10km to those coordinates the scan process starts and you get a message, after that you need to blow up that asteroid and collect the crate that appears afterwards.
Have no reports of issues related to this step.

I started over again from my save file before I start mission plots, maybe it was bugged caused by to many plots in mission arrea.
I had 1 for final fury 1 for gooner and 1 for PHQ missions and Treaser hunt would be number 4

Finding the ship in Xenon101:
I too found empty space at the coords -10/10/-70, I flew around the bottom of the map for ages. I found a fair number of derelict ships - they seem to be numbered from 01 to 11 or so (and the odd derelict station) , mostly a little way north west of the centre. Eventually I got the scanning message, no wreckage in sight or anything like that, at -1, +4, -9 (within +/- 1 of each coord).
I assume this is a bug, game is plain vanilla 2.5, no mods or anything else. Nothing visible at far south anywhere near the expected location, nothing visible at the eventual location until, driving through apparently empty space, I suddenly got the scanning message - after which a message at screen bottom told me to capture the bad guy etc and the shuttle appeared.
I found the Spitfyr from Aldrin shipyard a good ship for pratting about in 101, a couple of M/AM launchers and 6 EMPCs helped setlle arguments whilst exploring.

find the ship woes
hmm, as you can tell by my reading of this thread I'm having some issues with the 'find the ship' in xenon 101 too. I eventually read the coords, and empty space is what there is. I have been leading every xenon in the sector around in my springblossom, gridsearched the place and shunted up to every piece of wreckage until i hit it, but no joy. I am going to sleep and try the 'empty space near the middle' as per a few of the more recent posts tomorrow. I will post my results tomorrow.
(vanilla 2.5, no scripts or similar).
Edit the next morning: well, I flew around in the area just north of the sector and shazzam, I get a scanning message. I was preoccupied with catching xenon incoming on my missile defences (you know, when Betty starts to stutter because of the number of missile launches), so I didn't get the exact coordinates, but I did note that it was quite near an asteroid between the north gate and the xenon shipyard. I also got a weird, dotted notation description of the object I was scanning which has also come up on the mission screen. The object that I scanned was object.name@KTH_toplevel.KTHTLwreck
As I wrote earlier, I am running absolutely vanilla 2.5 (steam delivered if that makes a difference).
Again, this appears broken. I count myself as the third poster in this thread to find this issue with vanilla 2.5.
Screenshot of the mission briefing just after I landed in Nopileos' Memorial to catch my breath.

Not quite so simple actually - I needed to do five layers with triplex scanners - one on the ecliptic and two at successive scan distances up and down - to get all of them. 'Map sector' appears to be two-dimensional. You place the centerpoint and specify a radius for a circle, not a sphere. Y axis spread is the diameter of your scanner, so if objects are spread in the y axis then you won't find them with a single 'map sector' command.
cheers

Hint #4 makes me very very very sad. I left my X3 on overnight while my springblossom was stuck on 'Map Sector' and when I woke up and checked- still nothing -_-. I thought the 'map sector' command would also explore the Z-axis as well.delray wrote:The easiest way to get all beacons in Hint 4 is to Map Sector at range 90 and starting each time at different height. 0,0,0 -> 0,40,0 -> 0,-40,0.
My final beacon was right at the centre of the sector but -53 at Y axis. No way I'd find it without methodical explorer software approach.
Bring Kestrel!
Oh well, at least my UT's made me another 100 million while I was asleep.
