Hi, has anyone had problems with plot stations disappearing??, i know a few ppl have had problems with them being detroyed by battles but i am currently re doing the terran plot and am on the argon m148 mission, at some point not long after i enter the sector the terran station in heretics end disappears and screws my mission.

After noticing it the first time i watched the sector closely and the were no conflicts/fighting of any kind, it just vanishes?. The mission continues but when haywood exits the station in a suit i get a mission complete message instead of transport them to heretics end, also the two astronauts are not haywood and friend, i am assuming this is to do with this script as i uninstalled conflicts and tried it again and the station didnt disappear and the mission went as normal. I guess it could be conflicting with another script but i dont think so.

this is a great script and makes things much more fun so hopefully someone has an answer for me :wink:

invincible ships and stations are removed in that way because it is the only way to get rid of them. Ah but the script should only be removing them when an attacking force is in the sector.

If you destroy all hostile ships in the sector, the station should stay up.

0.84

Great improovement not all Pirates sectors get captured.

BUT

Desecrated Skies

Owner switch from pirates to Paranid.

I have a Space Fuel Hub here, Pirates or paranid thats not the biggest problem.

I LOST OWNERSHIP OF MY SPAECE FUEL COMLEX after paranid took aver this sector.

That's something that has to be fixed or i'll have to trash all M2,M1,EQ docks of races that play on my nerves.

EDIT:

Is there a way to make those instat owneship switch slower?

reloaded the save ...Desecrated Skies ownership switched from pirates to Paranid again.

This tiem President end swithced form Argon to Split - how they claim sector W/O sending invasion forces.

IDEA: why not making this sector capturin a little Mortal Kombat flavor. not 10 but 5 battles (tournaments) 1 win = 1 capture flag/point what ever.

Let say Split invade President End - they win i.e. M7 smashed argon 2 M6.
Argon respond with M6 - they loose 0-2 for split.
Argon bring 2 M7 they win ... 1-2
Split bring a M7 they loose ... 2-2
Split send a M2 and M7 they win ... 2-3

5 battles max if split win by 1-3 no 5th battle... sector goes to Split.

And no stealing player Fabs! Since i cant claim it back.

Actually if you take over the sector you will gain ownership of your dock back.... ;)

Hi,
i am sorry, but i have top say, that i still have freezes(Loops with repeating sound). I can send you the savegame, if you want. If you follow the route of the autopilote the testgame will freeze a few minutes, one or two sectors later.
I reinstalled the game und use only a few scripts and a little changed 03 and 05 dat( Ship stats.. bullets.. weapons).

The scripts are:
Race patrol
of course, 0.84 conflicts
Signal Boost(okay, it is more a mod)
Mars 4.04
Intelligent Targeting System
Community Plugin Configuration
Cheat collection package by cyrow
Super Vegeta Turrent Commands v 5.0

I do have a fake patch witch deletes the mini astros, the Turret Fix file for MARS and the fake patch for racepatrol(no civ)

I hope, that i can help you in this way to fix the problem. Say, if you need the save.

I don't know of any way of testing script conflicts causing freezes besides you trying to disable your other scripts... could you try running the save with all scripts disabled and then reenable one by one?

In readme you say i need to have the majority of ships in sector :

So if there's 4 argon TS // 3 Boron // 4 Paranid /// 6 Split i need to have 7 ships in sector and wait 3 minutes?

But what if i have a M6 Centaur and a M7 Tiger in the Sector?

A bigger ship should count as 5 TS or more since it has more firepower to guard this sector.

Well it s better to have an army of m5 instead of a one capital ship

2ND EDIT:

Mavor the now cmd in custom menu are great but i have one more question - What will happen if the secotr wher my Compelex is deployed get captured by Born for example, i still wont get back my FAB?


Or other example Argon loos a sector so i loose contol of my complex, if argon re take over i'll get back the complex too, i'm rank 1 with them .

Sector takeover is automatic, just kill the equiptment docks/shipyards/trading posts of the sectors owner and as long as you have at least 6 or 7 ships the sector will flip.

thx for the quick response Mavor. I ran another test and disabled Community Plugin Configuration and the intelligent targetting system... and i can say: It did not freeze or crash.. I will continue my testing but it seems that the problem could be solved. Wish me luck and again: Great script!

Hmm i 'm allied With Boron and the ask me to help em in sector : null
It thinks its a nug.

But still one good thing - 3 OOS conflict are in play no crash! :]

Lowered conflict ships number to 750.


Huston we gota problem:

Omicron Lyre is a CORE Argon sector, but it was taken by Terran - The argon shipyad and EQ dock are gone

3 terran M2 one TL and a dozen of M6!!!!

So argon prime can be took over - that insane.

I'll have to take over by myself all sectors to get back fabs if i lost em ?

I like the challenge but being cutted off of a huuuuge autonomous complex makin Lootssssss of profitssss is a blow that makes hard to strike back.

Why not make a list of possible actions.

Such as
Race Y Ambasador Insults Leader of Race X
Tensions increased.

its a pity the news options from stations was pulled from TC.. it should have been left.

Then every time the player lands he could read up on new developments between the races, this mod should add in scripts and new missions to repair or even sabotarge.
Example

Split Military Command
We have recently lost many ships in conflicts with the Argon and the Paranid, we require time to rebuild, as such you shall steal an argon military ship and attack anParanid Ambasadors Transport while its in Argon space currently on route to Argon Prime.

What you have to do
Make an Argon military ship bail or board a cap, then use the cap to do the job.

Paranid and Argon goto war status and there chance of invading Split sectors would drop.

Mavor Desectrated Skies was took over by argon and my complex didnt go to my control, i dont want to blow the rep with argon to get it back.

Plz this should be fixed.

Let say a race that hates my take over the sector will try to destroy my fab - ok i will be warned and can sent task force to defend it.

Taking over my fab with the sector is a communist lame move.

I have most of those scripts that you have, and the Community Plugin Config has never given me problems with freezing. I don't have the intell. targeting system though, so that might be the problem child here.

I must ask an unrelated question though, wtf is up with Hatikvah's Faith? There is always some massive fleet there. Maybe it is a remnant fleet. What would be nice to have is a special debug command (or something) that allows you to trigger a massive Khaak invasion in a sector. Once all conflict military ships are destroyed they jump out.

hatikvahs faith was designed by egosoft to have a pirate base waaaaaay out in the middle of nowhere, so AI ships need to travel for awile to get over to those stations. Also, its a central sector that is pirate so at the start of a game where everyone is at peace, military forces tend to concentrate there.

Oh and guys, until the next update where player stations will no longer be flipped to enemy control on sector ownership change...

I suggest building your complexes in out-of-the-way sectors, OR defending them.

Mavor, I set Argon and Boron as allies and then set it as locked. I also set split and paranid as allies and locked it but in the game these races still go to war with each other. Argon will still declare war on Boron, etc.

Thats verry verry bad!! Its against the story(Foundation Guild, Profit Guild)

That should be fixed..... :(

Ok as a temporary solution until I can rewrite the algorithm, set diplomatic aggressiveness to -40. That should do it.

I had the same problem with argon/boron relations set to ally and attacking each other - set it to your suggestion and they play nioe now.

As to "defending your sector" to prevent flipping well that's not a viable option. I've had sectors under my control with full base setup and several ships on patrol. A competing race sends 1 fighter in and if they have an adjacent sector - bam flip to them and i've lost my factories. Thankfully my main setup is in a former unknow sector where no one goes lol.

Personally I just stick to allying with the boron and claiming sectors for them for now :)
