i have this script running, but i can't check it out myself, since im on a totally fresh start and have nowhere near enough cash for any sattelites, let alone a UT.
I found some misplaced xml files (with em numbers) in scripts folder, and removed em to t'' folder. (as has been suggested)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, to cut it short, can anybody out there tell me if this script is working or not ??
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, i can simply skip it, but the idea is really good and i really hate loosing transports like that.....

Works fine for me. Haven't had to move any misplaced xml files or anything else for this script to continue working like it did pre-2.0.Krelian wrote:i have this script running, but i can't check it out myself, since im on a totally fresh start and have nowhere near enough cash for any sattelites, let alone a UT.

I recently installed this script... I read that this can fix the problem about UT's that keep being attacked in Mi Ton's Revenge...
Anyway, I have X3 v2.0.02 update installed and the commands in the trade menu really do have "Read text ######" (I forgot the #'s) instead of proper commands text...
Hope this gets fixed soon... I'd really like to use this script... I believe this is quite usefull...

As I mentioned a few posts above, and I'm pretty sure it's been mentioned earlier in the thread as well, the spk download is broken - it will put the t files in the scripts folder. If you have installed the spk, you'll need to fish the <number>.xml files out of the scripts folder and put them in the t folder to fix the readtext problems.
Since Zzyn doesn't appear to be active at the moment, the download is unlikely to be fixed in the near future.

hey, I tried transferring the <number>.xml from the <scripts> directory to <t> directory and this script now works fine...

Zzyn,
I'm currently debugging my game. And I'm checking with scripts are causing the problem/conflict...
Anyway, how do I uninstall this script? Will Cycrow's Script Installer uninstall this properly or do I have to do something special?
Thanks.

This script is very useful and I used since its release. But I've found a small issue, which is not related to the script but more with HQ problems and it is.
Enhancement request
I don't know if this is possible or not and if can be integrated so I leave this at your description.
Once the AdvTradeSat is placed on the system that has a HQ
The UTs only sell their items when HQ prices are high (their normal behavior)
Now when the HQ ware prices are bare minimum, the UTs don't buy HQ wares.
Is there a way to script this into UTs script? So that they could also sell HQ wares when the prices are good?
Thanks

and btw zzyn i luv u man for this script u should be named a man of honour on this forum coz of this script

The answer is just another question.

As well as 2010-430, which I believe to be the command you use to initiate a UT onto the satellite nav system. Fortunately I used this script before so I knew what commands to expect to be there. =PSesk wrote:ReadText Error:

In Trade commands, should be 'Add Satellite' and 'Remove Satellite', in the Library post, these numbers are assigned to Commodity Logistics and Commercial Agent.
How come this is happening. SPK latest release.
And if I never have before, let me say this is an excellent script. It makes up for a very obvious and obnoxious oversight in the stock game, and does so in a logical and more-or-less easy way.

Yea that was the problem, SPK is probably wrong or something.Star_Raider15 wrote:i had this problem myself

There is the problem with a wierd even happening randomly.
In my 'Property' list, there is a Advanced Satellite in Unknown (sector title) with a blank Location that flashes on the list, kinda annoying and wierd, whats up ?

Newbie needs help with Satilite Limited MK3 Trade Extention script
I can seem to "find" the new control buttons for Zzyn's "Satilite Limited MK3 Trade Extention" script. I downloaded and extracted the script's zip files ("script" and "t") folders. I opened the files and "pasted" the contents into Egosoft's "script" and "t" folders respectively. Is this the wrong way to do it? This is the first script I've tried to install. Any help would be very appreciated.

No, that's the way it's done.mcsquared wrote:I can seem to "find" the new control buttons for Zzyn's "Satilite Limited MK3 Trade Extention" script. The reason you can't see the commands is that you need to enable the script editor. Change your name to Thereshallbewings (make sure of the double 'l' as you can have trouble entering double letters. If you've done it right, your name will *not* change, and you'll hear a tone. Then, save the game, reload, and you should see the commands.

Well "Trade Beacon" and "Adv Trade Beacon" are the correct names for the sats when you change then using the activate command.
The AI changing them is a new one.
As for the message about incorect name, when you use the script it is looking for a specific name for the sats.
"your navigational satellite" and advanced satellite"
Are you using a sat deployment script?
If so these can deploy the sats with names different from what the sat limited script require (Check the names of your sats).
I use a sat deployment script and had the same problem, but I alter the script myself to use the correct naming to work with the script!

I am using Zzyn's "Satellite Limited MK3 Trade Extention," no other scripts at the time. I noticed that the AI on its own was changing all my "Your Advanced Satellites" to "Adv Trade Beacon." Since I am a mere mortal, who am I to stand in the way of the almighty AI, sooo, I went into the Script and changed the navigation satellite entry (which I don't use), to "Adv Trade Beacon." Seems to work; the only "mistake" was my ore mine owned freighter ignored the command but that command may have been overwritten by the "sell ware at best price" command since it then wasn't doing the UT thing. Will keep you posted!

Your factory owned ships won't be affected by this script - it is only for ships running UT commands (sell ware at best price does override UT commands.) There is another script which lets factory owned ships avoid dangerous sectors, which is actually part of the bonus pack - Station Manager.
