Finished it just now. Gotta be honest, bit of a letdown compared to the previous episodes.

Mad Max Furiosa. If you liked Mad Max Fury Road you'll probably like this movie. It's different but more of the same stuff. Crazy car fight's, expands the mad max universe, fills in some details.

I watched The Bikeriders and it brought back memories of long days gone past, some good, some not so good, but I had not thought of them for a very long time.

The film is actually pretty good, it is based around a fictitious MC with a fictitious story and characters, but they are all based on factual events characters and an actual MC. While the MC in the film is called the Vandals, it is based on the Outlaws MC one of the largest MC's around, with chapters all over the world. The characters in the film are based on some of the characters from the outlaws in the late 60's early 70's, and the events in the film are based on some of their events and happenings.

The film itself is pretty realistic with some dramatization thrown in, but that is the norm, real life does not make for a great film. So some things while based on reality, they were not probably how they played out in reality. A few of the events reminded me of some that I know of while some of the characters could have passed for some of the guys I used to know, which is funny as when I watched it and thought to myself, that's the spitting image of how so-and-so would have acted. There are some differences between here and there, for example their get-togethers they called them picknicks we call them rally's, but there is a 10-year difference between my experiences and theirs, so maybe things changed.

Definitely a film worth watching.

Against All Enemies a documentary made by Meidas Touch Network that looks into the violent extremist movement in America with interviews with Proud boys, 3 Percenters and of course the Oath Keepers, and it's now free to watch on youtube, it's pretty interesting.

Deadpool and Wolverine. Had some funny parts and kind of enjoyed it. Deadpool movies have a lot of swearing and other bad stuff just an fyi. Can be pretty hard to watch. Wolverine also seemed to be off.

Star Wars The Acolyte. Can't really recommend it but it is star wars. 4/10 on imdb with 113k reviews. Some more Star Wars stuff coming soon.

Dead Boy Detectives Might not be a season 2. Different actors than those from Doom Patrol. Had a feeling similar to Dirk Gently season 2. Quirky odd characters. Weird situations. It's currently 7.5/10 on imdb. Would have rated it a bit lower.

Doctor Who. Liked it better than the last Doctor. Some good and some not so good episodes.

Boderlands movie should be coming up quite soon. Not expecting it to be good. The casting is quite odd/seemingly bad.

I think you meant to say "not great, not terrible" (famous quote from the series, for everyone who hasn't watched it yet) :D It is a great series for real.

However, speaking of "not great not terrible", currently watching The Gentlemen on Netflix. It is okay. Two brothers, dukes, born into a royal family need money, make some dumb decisions and now need to get out of the drug business again and other shenanigans.

So I was looking for something in English to watch, so I finally decided to watch One Piece I've been putting it off for such a long time for a simple reason the last time I checked there were 1085 dubbed episodes so even if I was to watch 3 episodes every day it will still take around a year to watch them all and that’s just the dubbed series episodes there are also 6 films (I think) and of course the undubbed episodes. Now, that's a lot of watching. Right now, I’m up to episode 4 of season 3, and it’s still covering the live series story, which is also worth watching. I have to say I'm pretty pleasantly surprised as it first aired in 1999, so 25 years ago and the anime is HD wide screen normally when they are that old they are just 480p the other thing is the dubbing is also pretty good normally when they are that old the dubbing is pretty bad to say the least. So now it's just how far can I go before I quit it or do I manage to make it all the way to the end.

Borderlands wasn't that bad. The casting was mostly terrible. Cate Blanchett made a horrible aged Lilith in my opinion. Movement, face/eye stuff, voice. It's a Borderlands that takes place after the vaults with aged characters. The game/movie world was good and well done. 7/10 in my opinion. Was interesting. Plot was very Borderlands.

Alien Romulus. Had many of the components of the other Alien movies. Actors seemed quite young. Was a typical Alien movie but had some little improvements in cgi. Rated 7.5/10 with 43k votes on imdb.

Beetlejuice 2. Had a couple good scenes. Seemed mostly meh. The old one was better in my opinion. Seemed very simple.

Hellboy The Crooked Man. A horror movie with

. Either as dark or darker than the last Hellboy. Not like the first Hellboy movie. Skipped theatres but might have made some extra money there at Halloween time. More horror than most horror movies. Would rate it 4/10 to 6/10 depending on if you like Hellboy movies quite a bit. 10/10 being the highest rating on the scale. There's also at least two cartoon Hellboy movies. One cartoon movie is better than the other in my opinion.

Dark City (1998). A scifi movie from the late 90s. It has the 90s feel to it like Matrix, 13th Floor, Freejack, Johnny Mnemonic, etc.... An ok movie in my opinion but not great.

Mythica 6 Mythica Stormbound. Wraps up some loose ends from the 5 movie Mythica series. Might be the worst of the series but if you liked the series it might be worth a watch.

Rings of Power season 2. More drama but some action. A bit hard to sit through. They deviated from Tolkiens lore.

I've watched a few different things lately, first off there's Star Wars Skeleton Crew, to be honest I have actually only been able to see the first half of the first episode, so I can't give an honest review of the series, but I would like to share my view on what I have watched.

Star Wars Skeleton Crew, a sci-fi series based on the Star Wars universe in a galaxy far, far away, what I watched was American school kids going to an American school in an American city with their American parents and American adults working like Americans in their American jobs in a galaxy far, far away. So does anyone see a certain theme starting to appear here. Hollywood and Disney is going through a pretty rough time of it right now, some blame it on them being too woke (sic) myself I say it all about bad writing from writers who have zero imagination and cannot imagine anything existing that does not look and act like America Skeleton Crew is a prime example of this as there is only one place on this planet that exists like America, America itself but here these writers think an alien Civilization in another galaxy would look and act just like America does, they could create anything and that is what they come up with, no imagination at all. As for the series, Critical Drinker said "hey it's not terrible" so it can't be too bad can it.

Another one I've been watching is Secret Level, it's a series of short stories using computer graphics, and they are based on computer games like SIFU, Unreal Tournament, Warhammer 40,000 and even Pac-Man to name a few now this one I would highly recommend, the animation is spot on, and they could all be trailers for the games they are representing, while each episode is only around 10 to 20 minutes long. My only gripe with it is that they are short stories, and I have always hated short stories.

Finally, I also got to see Venom the last dance. I enjoyed it better than the second one, but not as much as the first one, but saying that it is rather lacking content, The film itself is around 100 minutes long but when it ends there is still 20 minutes left and those 20 minutes are all just the end titles so taking that and the titles at the start around a quarter of the film is made up of names appearing on-screen. Seriously, how can they claim a film is around an hour forty long when so much of it is just names of people no one apart from themselves cares about. Anyway, it is kind of alright, but I wouldn't go out of your way to watch it, especially if you haven't watched the first two.

Arcane Season 2 - Netflix
Great series and imo season 2 is surprisingly even better than the first. They went above and beyond for epic character and story introductions. Like this epic musical scene that is just casually incorporated into the show:

Star Wars Skeleton Crew. More for kids. First episode is probably the least entertaining. Episode 4 is starting to look interesting but ironically has some parts which might scare children.

Monster Summer. Was a mixed bag. Don't regret watching it.

Moana 2. Was much like the first. First was probably a bit better.

Red One. The Rock in a Santa movie with Captain America guy. Was ok but not for everyone. Lots of violence and other stuff.

Dr Who Xmas specials starting on December 25, 2024.

It is such a light hearted Star Wars spin off that I totally fell in love with it. Yeah, more of a family oriented show, with kids playing the lead roles travelling alone in the scary Star Wars universe. Where some plot points are literally which kid said "first" first. This is to real. 🤣
On the other hand the scenes with the dead robot terrified me the most, and made me question how kid friendly the show really is.
It is everything that you would expect a Disney Star Wars Mashup normally to be.

10/10 from me 😜
Thanks for the reminder 😀

I recently signed up to a free, in perpetuity, subscription to Apple TV, thanks to a perk from my bank. I'm pretty pleased with it so far.

The first series I watched, new episodes on Fridays, is Silo, and I love the concept, cast, along with the telling. Very rare I'm inspired to watch an episode of a show on the day it's released.

And I've watched the first two series of 'Foundation' which is based on the Asimov novel of the same name (which I am pretty sure I read over forty years ago). It, and Silo, come across as real big budget well-told tales, and I've already a watch list of a few more series I'm planning to try. - I did try the first episode of 'Invasion' and that wasn't as instantly grabbing as the other two, but I'll certainly attempt another episode or two.

I've reached the point where I'm wondering if I can justify keeping Sky considering it costs me well over £100.00 per month, and I only watch it for football and F1...

NowTV can have sports as addon (it is NowTV = Sky budget, like Plusnet = BT budget) as well as some tv; both packages probably £40 a month, though imagine Sky is also your internet. NowTV also do internet with full fibre for 25 a month, but it's adding up at that point...
