Re: Wordle, a Daily Frustration.
A friend suggested using 'that' word before I first started Wordle, but I too just come up with a random word each day, without any repeating letters.

I don't use the same word each day either. I just choose something with no repeats, and at least two vowels.

Re: Wordle, a Daily Frustration.
I do go for the 2 vowel first word, followed by alternating 2 vowel second, both using different consonants to try and get through as many options as possible. By the 3rd row you know which vowels at least, and usually know their locations too.
Today didn't complete, abandoned after 3rd row. Complete brain logic failure, I knew the vowels (and their locations) but had zero consonants so far. So rather than do the usual -- just make any 5 letter word with the next most likely consonants -- i sat and stared and tried to fit my next most likely as words with the known vowel locations. After 2 mins of this odd focus, I gave up with 3 guesses to go.
Only after did I think "hang on, what do you usually do?". Can tell it's going to be a bad day when your brain uncharacteristically drops its (to date) pretty solid method of solving. Not just first fail to solve, I abandoned it with 3 guesses left!
Check the solution posted, and sure enough, the 2 next consonants I was trying to fit into an unknown word with known vowel locations would have hit. But i couldn't think of words and threw logic out the window :/
Have to admit, even getting those two I imagine it'd have been a case of sitting down and subsequently trying combinations of letters to make a word as it wouldn't have leapt out at me.

First guess - "Teach" - get 2 vowels, chose this word as 2 vowels + common consonants.
Second guess - "Dream" - I know the vowels, changing order and using other two consonants. But reveals nothing (usually choose another word using other vowels and different consonants from first guess, but already know the vowels so...).
Third guess - "Eager" - I know, repeating "e" and "r"; sub-optimal, but this confirmed A location and E location via deduction - it was only place E hadn't been), so still solid enough.
Fourth guess - I know the A and the E, my list includes S, N, L for next highest consonants. What I should have done was use "snail". Would use my next 3 highest consonants and who cares about the vowels.
After that, I think I'd have struggled to work out the word and been writing it down on paper and slowly going through possible consonants and trying to make a word from it. I doubt I'd have succeeded though, not because I don't know the word, but a lack of patience. It's my working day after all

Wordle 265 6/6

Nearly didn't get it. There were at least two more possibilities that it could have been for that last line, and I just got lucky.
Also found another interesting starting word, which uses 5 of the 6 most common letters in English text.

Re: Wordle, a Daily Frustration.
I have to say, as much as I enjoy Wordle daily, I am getting frustrated when you have mostly narrowed down the answer but there are 5 or 6 different letters that can go in the same spot. It then becomes a simple guessing game of luck.

Wordle 265 6/6

This was really close. The last guess could easily have been 3 different words, it was essentially a 1 in 3 guess for the last attempt

1 in 4 chance of victory? Well, the Gods of Fortune sure were shining on me and Falcrack. All the better considering I'm on 26 day winning streak.
