Yes, interior is only rendered when you are inside.
But if the interiors are too large, it will lag, as the game is not only rendering the outside world, it also renders the interior.

Tried that :D - Went right to the front as far as I could get then turned around to face where you go to get back to skunky.. Just a very slight judder, not really noticeable at all..

IMHO, the only button and elevator cabin had much more immersion, than this tunnel.

That looks awesome. It might be kind of funny on some ships in it's current state, but it's amazing how fast this project has been progressing.

Well... Might be complicated on ships like the Lyranea, the landing pad is on the front and the bridge "should be" on the back, so you would have to walk through the whole ship. Same for the Rahanas. Actually most capitals are like that I think.

Isn't it possible to simply put something like an elevator on the landing pad?
Pressing a button there "beams" you to the bridge...

I like this mod an the immersion that it brings. But imho the bridge itself is way too big. The ceiling should be on a lower level.

What you have done is awesome, I love the way you go from the skunk to the bridge, means if someone firing on my titeral while I am docked I can go hide in the tunnel :D

The type of circular automatic doors used in Argon stations might be cool, I don't know if they would match the rest of the art style though

I know there are many people around this world and there are also many more different opinnions, but how the hell can anyone dislike this mod?
Seriously?!?!

On steam it only got four stars! So some people actually downvoted this mod?
Just again people who have nothing more to do but to badmouth this game and anything related to it, all day long? :/

@Litauen were you able to load egosoft's material library for creating your models? Or, did you create your own?

As far as i can see, these are all our assets just rearranged. A bit modified Room though, the original can be found in Omicron Lyrae somewehere.

Yes it's a modified room originally from the bars in OL, where a pre-existing windows has been enlarged to a huge frontal open view...and the rest is all cut&paste, although done very well seeing from the results :) (I also did a lot of cut&paste work with your wonderful assets some years ago...but those were only simple static wallpapers in my case...still, I really can appreciate when someone comes up doing something good with more inventiveness than tools :))

I guess that sort of answers "the question", but isn't helpful for why I asked it. I'm trying to build my own meshes and join them together with Egosoft models. I've followed the various example of how to load Egosoft meshes, but I don't see an example of how to load the material library. I want my models to co-exist with egosofts.

I could not find such a way but I would like it more compared to the current tunnel.

I just used their model with their materials. No custom messing with materials at all from my part.
