@Idea
I've got it on 2 different machines here and both are working fine. So it may take me a bit to figure it out, but i'm working on it.
Is the trend line in the Local exchange menu working ?
EDIT:
I just noticed you have bought CFA shares, if you notice the '-- None --' in the 'Stock' or 'Required' colums, these are very risky shares, as they are not going to move very much. May be ok if your looking at them as long term investments. As your '-- None --' is in the 'Required' colum, if a ship comes and buys those 3 Cluster Flak Array wares from wherever they are, you stand to make GOOD Profitsssssss.
@Mad_CatMk2
Thanks for the encouragement. The testers are having fun with it so that's a good sign.
If we can just get a few niggly issues fixed and maybe the inclusion of some basic reporting for now, we are very close to releasing 'Stage 1'.
I can't thank the testers enough, they are putting in a lot of work to get this as good as possable. So "Thank you Testers".

just downloaded v6.
was having a great time with v5 and then the market caught me.
Historically in my game, space fuel was going around 55 index. So when it got to 70 index and stayed there, I loaded up.
then it went to 75, so I figured I would get some more.
by the time it got to 85 index I realized I was 6 million in the whole and not to sure it would ever drop back.
If trends hold, a big sale will drive the index back around 30 and I will clean up.
Also had some luck 'day trading' some beef - made a quick 200K buying and trading between three index points.

There is something we call "délit d'initié" in french. I think it is called "insider trading" in english. Buying space fuel at the station in order for the index to drop and then sell your shares could be considered one. But hey, no one could punish you for that

Well, this would add difficulty, for me at least! In other words, it's a good idea!mark_a_condren wrote:Wonna make a bet ? Hi bung_dorji,
As for Egosoft patches, it will need 2.5 or above.
There is also quite some effort being put into making it as compatable with other scripts and mods as possable.
I'm working on the Reporting menu now so i can get it to the testers for attempted breaking, then if all goes well there should be a release of 'Stage 1' soon.
Then you'll be able to give your UT's/ST's a holiday for a while if you want. However, UT's and ST's will help keep the 'Stock Exchange' prices moving, as they will still help the economy in your universe.

This will be compatable with everything i can make it compatable with.bung_dorji wrote:is this compatible with newest patch 2.7.1 ? (im playing x3-tc)
im very very very hoping this is compatible coz i want to make my profit from this want rather from UT/ST

Hey MarCon
The new wares are great. Index is changing very fast. That's why I believe a direct shortcut to the "owned shares" could come in handy. Also, about the owned shares menu, would it be possible to have access to a lighter version showing only one line per owned shares so it could be possible to see which one can be sold in a glimpse? If I am just selling fast to make profits, I need only to know the index with indicators and the buying and selling prices. I'm not talking about a new menu, just the same one with the possibility to close all the non relevant informations for a fast selling. This way, if we own shares of 10 different products, we can see them all in the window without having to scroll up and down.
Mmh... am I becoming a profit maniac?

Hey profit maniac !
I'll see what i can do with the 'Detailed Summary' menu, but no promises.
Wright at the moment i am swearing very badly at a 'Commodities Transaction Report' menu !
I don't believe it, the 'H' word again, OMG, some people must have more keys on their keyboard than me.
That was part of the idea with the Naturals, if you want to be kept busy buying and selling, thats the group for you.
Have fun you profit aholic.

Nho, the profit aholic,
This is what i came up with for the 'Minimal' view in 'Detailed Summary Menu'.
'Show Minimum' and 'Show Maximum' (currently showing 'Show Maximum') have been added to the options at the top of the menu.
[ external image ]
The one remaining heading is a 'bug' but it is a reminder of the values and it goes away with the first refresh, so i'm going to leave it there and call it a 'Feature'.
Ok, onto the next item, the 'Commodities Transaction Report'.
Can be turned On or Off from the 'Options' menu. 4 Sorting methods, 'Timeline', 'Exchange', 'Bought / Sold' and 'Ware Type', all sub sorted by Timeline.
The 'Print to Log File ' is currently not functioning due to me not having much idea as to how i want to format it or how everyone else wants it formatted.
Sorted by 'Timelime'
[ external image ]
The 'null's bug in the Index colum has been fixed.
Sorted by 'Exchange'

All coming in the next test version, which will hopefully also be Release Candidate 1.

That's a present from Egosoft, all the Naturals that are used are Egosoft wares that don't get used much and i thought that was a shame so i put them to some use. All spellings are from ingame, but nice find.SoliDeoGloria wrote:Found a spelling error

Nho,
aholic is basically someone who is addicted to something, in your case, Profits. Is there some Teladi in there somewhere?
Update on new menus,
Can now delete individual records out of the 'Commodities Transaction report' menu. I wasn't happy that you had to delete them all if you wanted to delete any.
You just need to activate "Individual Delete Mode" from the 'Delete Transaction Records' selection at the top of the menu.
Ths will bring up 'Delete ALL' and 'Turn Individual Delete mode On', just choose the one you want. If you choose 'Delete ALL' you will be asked to confirm because once their gone there is no retrieving them.
You will know when you are in "Individual Delete Mode", You will notice the menu looks slightly different.
'Print to Log File' will print a record of the menu in its current layout but without the formatting. Just the values for each record seperated by a ';' deliminator to their own line for use with spread sheets etc.
Has anyone found any other issues with the last test version?
I'll probably be sending out the next version in a couple of hours or so.

What, not ready for another update yet?Wow, that was fast!
