What would ease of capture have to do with ship specs? Anyway, I don't think boarding has been changed at all, so you just got lucky.Rednoahl wrote:Have the ship specs changed? I've just boarded a Tiger using a Hyperion fairly easily (no missiles, just four CIGs, PAC everywhere else).....and I'm not all that experienced with boarding. My Hyperion's fine but I'm a nervous wreck.

How about fixing too low reward for patrol missions or rebalancing all other missions ralatively to this new 'reward per kill'?
How about to set reasonable value of resource requirements for Hub miission?
I had such high hopes on this patch... And got disappointments only.
Please, make more balance it this game! Last 2 patches makes only distractons of balance for me. Now have switch to v1.3 again

What I meant was the Hyperion seemed to shoot for a hell of a lot longer before it's laser energy ran out of steam. It might be that my rig was lagging before the patch, but still, I took the Tigers shields down to about 50% with one volley of fire (four CIG, four PAC vs 3.2gj shields) before the energy ran out. I'm certainly not complaining though, especially since I hadn't even finished equipping the Hyperion and the Tiger was packing a lot of IBL.pjknibbs wrote:What would ease of capture have to do with ship specs? Keris class fighter drones are soooo cool!
the patch works a charm and the FR has improved with my ickle 2GB RAM
cheers EGOSOFT!
for patch 2.1 can i request that the COMBATmod idea be considered as it really improves the combat side OR take some of the best parts? like increasing Capital ships hull to last longer then 20 secs of firing!! .
peace

I am happy to report that I've just been towing two mines to where I want them and everything went like a charm. No rotating whatsoever
In fact, no rotation at all means I towed the things with the beam to the far left/right, which didn't look very realistic, but hey, at least it's possible to properly tow them now!

Excellent! I had given up on mine towing. It had brought back painful memories of an occasion, many years ago, when I had experimented briefly with a home-made rice-flail.X-Warrior B AS wrote:I am happy to report that I've just been towing two mines to where I want them and everything went like a charm. Gets out the popcorn and watches the video replay of the rice-flail...The Happy Trucker wrote: Excellent! I had given up on mine towing. It had brought back painful memories of an occasion, many years ago, when I had experimented briefly with a home-made rice-flail.

It's not if we win or lose that matters, it's that we stood and faced it.

Oh no, do you mean someone actually filmed me? How did they do that? It was pitch dark in that cellar.FalconGrey wrote:Gets out the popcorn and watches the video replay of the rice-flail...The Happy Trucker wrote: Excellent! I had given up on mine towing. Anyway, thanks for the upgrade, Egosoft

Yep, same here. A friend of mine has had his Skype mood message set as "I HATE moving asteroids in X3, they're a pain in the arse!!" for the last week or so. I guess he'll be changing that when he finds outX-Warrior B AS wrote:I am happy to report that I've just been towing two mines to where I want them and everything went like a charm.
