I'm not sure now, but I think, that Gold Edition won't be for UK, but as I'm saying, I'm not sure.

Is X3: Gold Edition still being distributed? I'm in New Zealand so it's not available locally. I have ordered it through a local shop who is bringing it over via a distributer. Having ordered it (literally) several months ago I was patiently awaiting it's release. Today I thought to search the forums for updated info on it's release - only to find this thread.

Thanks muchly Egosoft for a great game (that eats far too much of my time) btw. I'm eager to own a copy of this game instead of borrowing someone elses. If it's not still in circulation then I'll have to limit myself to vanilla X3 (which I'll still have to track down). While I can order things online I avoid sites I don't know. Haven't had the need to order a game online so I'm unsure which site is 'safe. If you can point me at a site that can sell me a copy then that'd be muchly appreciated too. I have checked Ego's own shop (http://www.egosoft.com/shop/default.asp?cat=1) - but the Gold Edition isn't even listed (and all remaining X3 products are sold out).

X3 Gold was a German only/European only release. (You could change the language file to play in English, though obviously the manual etc. would be in German.)

I'm not sure about the status of it - there was a lot of interest outside the target audience, so it's possible that the publisher had more orders than they could handle.

Thank you for the reply Eladan.

After reading further through the forums I see mention of a 'SuperBox' edition but there's no release date as yet. If it comes out before Christmas I'm happy to wait (waited this long so another couple of months isn't a stretch) otherwise I'll picked up X3:TC. Any hints as to whether it's worth waiting or not?

As usual, any info about a release date for the superbox would be plastered across the top of the forum. The lack of such info means, you guessed it, there's no information about when it will be released. Sorry, I know it's not helpful.
