All I have right now is a tiny complex with just three Gauss cannon ammo fabs served by a Springblossom CAG. Works good so far
I am having problems getting this script to function properly. I configure CAG and start the script with TP at home base. Nothing happens when I check what order the newly assigned CAG is performing it says "None". It just sits at the home station and lets it run out of Ecells and doesn't bother to sell end products. I recently received a message saying that I needed ver 3.2 libraries, however, I have not been able to find these. When I try to uninstall the script using the directions at the beginning of this thread I can not find the file mentioned below:
Copy file setup.plugin.economics.pck from "\scripts.uninstall\" in your X3TC folder to "\scripts". Run TC and load a saved game. Uninstallation is automatically started and finished when a message is sent to the logbook. Uninstallation takes 10 to 20 seconds from when the game was loaded. Save your game.
With regards to the libraries, download whatever is at the other end of the "Required Libraries" link in the first post. That will be up to date for the most recent version of CAG.
As for buying e-cells... I don't know what is happening there, although it might not be happening due to you lacking the libraries...?
Assuming that isn't the case, check to make sure that your jump/travel distance settings aren't precluding it from buying ecells (or that your buy price isn't too low so that there are no ecells in range at that price).
The selling is likely also related to the library problem, however it is important to note: Newbie 1st rank CAG pilots WILL NOT SELL. All they can do is buy ecells (or only inputs...? not sure on that) until they "gain a level" at which point they will start selling for you.
if you have sufficient trade rank it should work. check if cag freighter really has home base set (i noticed, that setting homebase sometimes doesn't stick)
Lucike: I seriously think you should link to this post in your original message for those scripts.
You make very great and powerfull scripts but for someone who has never used one of them before it was hard to understand what they were and the differences. This post solves that, and I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one to find it usefull to get that information right from the start.

hi, im having problems configuring my Cags pilots , im at the hub mission where i need 500k ore i m trying to get them to only grab ores and not energy cells without stoping them to stock themselves to make jumps or sell my teladanium or my energy cell i have in that hub , i have been watching my 6 pilots and i tryed almost anything ; put ore in ware list , setting at 0 % sell values everywhere put 100% buy resources (or what ever the name) , put them shoppers (after seeing them buying energy cells somewhere and then switching to selling energy cells) nothing seems to work they always end up having the command :buying energy cells or teladanium even if i put the lowest price on those two and put the highest possible price on ore anything im adoing wrong ? any help would be appreciated thx
edit: i seem to have fixed them the problem was in ware list i thought that the thing saying black list would bring another menu that you choose stuff to black list i did nt know it was switching to trade list no wonder that my Cags were not buying ore lol.
But my question about not selling stuff still remains do i only put my CAGs on shopper so they will only buy stuff? and since i put only ore in my ware list will they buy from NPCs for energy cells to make them jump ?
you see, most people got into contact to lucikes scripts in X3R and know what they do. for those that don't, the first lines of the guides on page one of every thread should describe the scripts pretty well.

I have made sure ware buying prices are set to allow for easy procurement. Also jump range is set to 15, and the Merc Hauler is set to maintain 600 ecells for jump fuel. I have double checked home base settings which have not changed since they were set. I have started CAG with my own custom configurations as well as the default settings with the same results. Once 'Sart CAG' has been activated nothing happens. When I look at what orders that have been issued it says 'None'. It does not say 'Standby' or anything else that would imply that the script is running. I have tried to uninstall the script using the directions in the original post to no avail. I try to find the file that I must copy and paste to an other directory and the above mentioned file is not present. Each of my Merc Hauler pilots have apprentice rank so some elements of the script is working. I have reached an empase as I can not uninstall/reinstall nor can I get the script to work as it is.

That's odd behavior - did you install the Library scripts? Have you updated the script recently and forgotten to update the library scripts too?
If that isn't it, and you didn't keep the original ZIP from when you downloaded, you might re-download if it is the same version and use the uninstall script from there.

They will still buy energy if they need it for jumping; just not for the station. And if they are on shopper, they should only buy things.. be sure to keep the Hub's account full
@ Vicrry06 you sure about them grabbing e-cells for themselves in NPC stations ? because i ve seen them with flying to <what ever system name here> because the hub had run out of e-cells when i left them work while i was afk and had returned hehe i guess i have the dumbest pilots in the universe ,sometimes all my pilots are jumping to get somewhere but i see one flying back home the slow way with cargo hold full but 60 e-cell in his freght while he has like 10 systems to go hehe
