I love this script, but might I suggest a slight modification to Ganja (love the name
)? Instead of having him charge a single fee for all overclockings, would it be possible to have his charge increase for each overclocking by, say, 25% of the previous price? I just feel that it may add some more balance to it, but I could be wrong.

Not sure if/how that would be possible, it would have to keep count on number of times he overtuned it. So that would need a sort of database for him to remember, and thats more then a simple script...
Apart from that... you think with his smoking habit he would remember if he overtuned this ship already? Not to mention remembering who are you or who he is, or even what he is doing!

I suppose that he could compare the stats of the ship to be tuned with the default stats and infer the amount of tunings from that, but it's hardly a necessary feature. 18M a tuning is a pretty steep price anyway, heh.shinpl wrote:Not sure if/how that would be possible, it would have to keep count on number of times he overtuned it. If the plugin manager crashed when you close it, after updating/change/instaling new script. Go to your X3TC folder and delete the highest CAT/DAT files (for me its 07.CAT and 07.DAT) and restart the plugin manager, should fix the issue.Pitagora wrote:Any way to upgrade the script manually? My 2.20 beta 6 manager is messing my vista installation and won't work anymore...
CNaill:
Yeah that would also be possible, didnt think about a simple math, and you have commands in scripts like GET MAX SPEED and crap like that. But i think it would not be necessery, i overtune usualy 1-2 ships, and rarerly more then 2 times, one exception was my personal Mistral SF

It didn't the trick... It must be something more deep in the system, becouse I can't even uninstall the manager (vista tells me that I need the right privileges to uninstall it while my only account in the system has the administrator rights). Changed my c++ libraries too without success...shinpl wrote:If the plugin manager crashed when you close it, after updating/change/instaling new script. Not realy... you just need to repair the Vista to the point where it listens to you, not the other way around
But an unpacked version? Hmm, well maybe Teledrione will put up one
No harm in that except ofcourse we could look into it and steal his secrets!! MUHAHAHAHA.
...
Yes i know you can also do that in the spk version... im just bored

Actually my Vista installation work flawlessy on any other software, I'm not in the mood to restore a random backup point just to TRY to make a beta software work as intended.shinpl wrote:Not realy... you just need to repair the Vista to the point where it listens to you, not the other way around
Thanks for your interest anyway, I'll try to figure out how to set it up manually

Hmm, now this is a bit of a longshot but...
Try messing around in the plugin manager/help files if there is some way to unpack/extrack the said script?
About Vista, yeah i know how it works, mostly good, had it on my laptop until it... ekhm... had a slight accident involving a cat and gravity...
Well anyways i was not talking about restoring some backups, more like tweaking the settings of plugin manager runing (run as administrator and assorted crap).
Worst case scenario: wait till after christmas when Teledrione gets back to his proper PC and he will probably gladly send you the unpacked version

I've managed to unpack and upgrade the script manually, made some mixed backups first but everything gone in the right way.
X3TC still work and the script is updated, can't say the same for the plugin manager but hey, it's a beta release, I can wait for the next version.
Thank you all guys.

Possible... yes.CNiall wrote:I love this script, but might I suggest a slight modification to Ganja (love the name)? I could calculate the cost based on the already installed tuning units on the ship Ganja is to work on. Something like that.
But to be honest I always HATED this calculation system (Cyrow's BBS overtuning for Reunion used calculations like that); I could never accept that overtuning a little more (and then more and more) should cost me more than the whole ship is worth. But that's just me...

However, money is out of balance in TC anyways - even with the 1.4 patch it is way too easy to make serious cash in no time... but if enough ppl want that why not:
As of now it is a straight 20% of the hull's average value (plus the little, little random damage he causes) for one tuning session (5 units of rudder/engine).
Any more of you think that Ganja's service should cost more?
I hear you - that "alpha" crashes on me most of the time, too.Pitagora wrote:Any way to upgrade the script manually? My 2.20 beta 6 manager is messing my vista installation and won't work anymore...

Some time ago I tried to distribute my scripts as plain zip, but then I got the complains about making spks a lot.
For the time being I'll better stick with spks I guess - but unpacking them to get the individual files is easy, at least that application is working without crashes...

Good point Teledrione, why make something cost more, when it seems the devs are still in the slow process of balancing money earning? And for some ships it can realy be a few bucks...
About the "alpha"... well it doesnt crash if you just turn it on and off... so that counts for something
Cant wait for the next upgrade... i wonder what it will be?

Not a problem... Sometimes i think i should work at tech support... answering questions is nearly my hobby... but then i remember that 2/3 of said tech support work requires dealing with morrons that press the 'DO NOT PRESS' writen all over them buttons and then they want to complain and inform you how stupid they realy are...

I wonder what amusing new *features* will the next update provide? And will the Marauder shipyard morph into a Mod at some point?
Creating Don/Marauder faction to earn rep would probably require something similiar to a Corporation in X3TC... Could those be added by scripting?

I eventually got my rank high enough to buy the PHQ. So I had it built in Split Fire near my complex hub and it would appear that the station has some sort of cloaking device. The only part of the station I can see is one of the docking pylons.
I will rebuild it again tomorrow and see what happens. Anyone had this before?
