Dan,
one temporary solution to your troubles could be to use LV's cheats script, and tweak your Paranid and Boron reps up to where they "should" have been. Until we get this sorted out.
Right now the rep with paranid is "friend of priest king" and with boron "noble peer"....but I observed that when one of my ship shout accidentally an civilian ship and kill some of them,then all police ships turn red and soon after that a message with bounty pop up...it's happened in Elena’s fortune where my rep with argon was "federation marshal"...drop one level and the bounty was send... :x

All the bounty I received after that was with yaki...I'm using - yaki armada "...and the pirate yaki are spawn...and I'm killing these or capture... :P

Dan,
there's obviously something wrong in your game with DDBH. To my knowledge, if you've got an otherwise great rep with a race, the only thing that could trigger a bountyhunt would be if you attacked one of that race's stations. Which is why great care should be taken in fighting around any station with DDBH on.

DDBH was created for several reasons, the first being to keep a player on his toes, but also to give him more capping opportunities for DDRS ships, as well as to provide more realism for players going the pirate route.

Ok ...I try to deactivate and activate again the DSBH...because it’s happening again in boron space - Reservoir of Tranquility - and my rep with boron was "Queen's protectorate"...

Update: Version 2.4.1a of the Rebalanced mod is now available.

++ Version 2.4.1a/b - Three new ships for the Yaki; the Wakizashi (M3+), the Amataresu (TP), and the Kyoto (Mobile Pirate Base - TL). There are also a number of bug fixes, including the Tie Interceptor problem that was causing one of the DDRS missions to be unplayable.

Self-extracting EXE for 2.4.1a Rebalanced -

Dan,

Can you PM me with a list of the scripts you are running?

I have just done a complete re-install of DDRS Rebalanced into a fresh X3 folder, and installed DD Bountyhunter. I'm not getting any race hits at all when I take out attacking bounty hunters.

I have a problem with STM Race Invasions which are out of a sudden not spawning an more?

I read in the STM posts that others have this issue too. I don't know if its from the combination with DDRS so I want to ask here :)

Is there any solution for this around yet?

Thanks

Trokhon,

Are you running the regular version of Race Invasions, or the one I modified for DDRS (with StarTrek Marc's permission, or course)?

By DDRS version, I mean the one from this page: http://www.xforum.chaos.net.nz/viewtopic.php?t=127

There have been issues surrounding access and race rep to buy the new Yaki ships. And believe me, you gotta try out the new Wakizashi! Below is a copy of a post I just made on the Leveled thread:

..the new Yaki ships are available (along with vanilla Raijins, etc) at the new Yaki SY. It's located in one of the new v2.0 sectors...Unfortunately, you need Yaki rep to actually buy the suckers. And the only current way of getting rep is with Serial Kicked's Yaki Armada plugin
http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php? ... 51#1961651

We're exploring ways of working around vanilla rep restrictions to getting access to all DDRS ships that are realistic yet workable..but in meantime, you'll either have to suck up to the Yaki with SK's plugin..or start capping :twisted: and use your PHQ to make your own.

The new Yaki Wakizashi M3+ is an extremely cool and capable ship, if I do say so. Amazing, really.

Cheers,

I had planned on releasing V2.5 by now, but I've decoded to hold off until I'm more comfortable with the race/rep issue.

It makes no sense to put cool new ships into a Yaki owned and opperated shipyard, where the vast majority of players can't buy them...er, doesn't everyone kill Yaki on sight?

Trokhon: I have not been able to recreate this problem. Are you still experiencing it?

Well, killing Yaki on sight means your Yaki Rep will decrease, so buying from them will also get a bit harder. Its counter-productive.

Any chance of posting some pics of the new ships?

Edited to properly show quote.

Yes killed it from global task list. Than I did a deinstallation and reinstallation.

But its still the same. I do not get any invasions.

And I seem not to be the only one with this problems.

Trokhon: Can I get you to send me a save game along with a list of the scripts/mods you are running? I cannot seem to recreate the problem. When you say that others are having similar problems, is this being discussed on the German boards...or over here someplace? I'd like to get as much information as possible on this...as it is one of my favorite ways to quickly build up a fleet of DDRS ships :)

Graaf: OK...fair request, here are some screenshots of the current Yaki ships.

===============================================================

The most recent is the M5 Shuriken, that our good friends the Yaki will be using as their main light fighter:

(As usual, click on image for a larger view)

It has been re-textured since the above pix...and yes, those are the rotating Gatling lasers :twisted:

===============================================================

There is a new Mobile Pirate base (currently implemented as a TL, like the existing ones from Egosoft):

The Kyoto class Mobile Pirate Base is a Very Light Carrier design used almost exclusively by the pirate faction known as the Yaki. Capable of carrying up to 22 fighters on raids, a Kyoto class mothership possesses the speed to outrun enemy capital ships, along with the shielding and weaponry to destroy any fast corvettes and fighters capable of catching her. Effectively vulnerable only to a massed fighter attack when properly piloted, the Kyoto class are perfect offensive platforms for the guerilla style hit-and-run operations practiced by the nomadic Yaki corsairs.

I need to get around to snapping some more in-game pix, as the textures have been significantly improved.

[ external image ]

===============================================================

Then there is a TP:

The Amateresu, named after a mythical Terran goddess, is the passenger transport of the criminal faction known as the Yaki. The Amateresu is fast, well-shielded, and fairly well armed, with a rear turret and superior missle capabilities, including Kha'ak varieties. Utilizing the Yaki's still secret Shield Amplification technology, this new TP can project effective shield strength greater than most other TP's currently in existence. Her main shortcomings are her small cargo hold, and her moderately high price. The Yaki primarily use her for shipments of drugs, slaves, and other contraband.

===============================================================

The new M3+ "Wakizashi" is currently my favorite ship. Very capable, with a single-laser turret up front, and a dual-laser turret in the rear.

The Wakizashi is a dangerous new Very Heavy Fighter design of the criminal faction known as the Yaki. The Wakizashi was created to replace the disappointing Yaki Susanowa M3 variants, that while fairly fast, were undergunned and undershielded for Yaki craft. Utilizing the Yaki's still secret Shield Amplification technology, this new VHF can project effective shield strength of more than double the galactic M3 average, and is superior to all of the new M3+ designs as well. Her amazing shield strength, coupled with excellent speed, strong hull armoring, and fore and aft defensive turrets, endow the Wakizashi with truly superlative defensive capabilities. Offensively, she can mount a dangerous array of energy weapons and advanced missle varieties--including some Kha'ak weaponry--but suffers from comparatively weak weapons generators. Combined with other drawbacks like her high price, relatively sluggish helm and poor acceleration, this design--while powerful--is not the perfect VHF.

===============================================================

...and of course, the M7 Naginata which I have already put into the current release:

M7 (Naginata) Sold By: Split - The pirate faction known as the Yaki have dramatically increased their offensive capabilities with the appearance of their new "Naginata" Strike Frigate. A multifunction craft, the Naginata seems particularly geared towards destruction of sector defense corvettes--which have proved particularly troublesome to Yaki fighter raids. To this end the Naginata is armed with a fixed-frontal battery of Beta PPC's, along with three twin BPPC turrets, and a single quad Beta HEPT turret. Four twin PAC turrets provide anti-fighter defense. Virtually every hardpoint can mount multiple differing weapons systems, allowing a Naginata to mount BPPC's when engaging capital ships, or Gamma-kyon emitters for engaging frigates, or PSG's or light energy weapons for dealing with fighters. Fast, well-shielded, and well-armed, the Yaki Naginata is force to be reckoned with.

Logged about 15 hours of Rebalanced over the weekend..including a complete reinstall, after I realized that the Bonus Pack hadn't been uninstalled...Anyway, quite a few annoying bugs disappeared--including DDRS missions and Complex construction.

Wakizashi is now my favorite ship..Wow, what a babe she is! I must admit to having added 2 doses of Cycrow's overtuning to her. Worth every penny.

I'm also using Voxol's Player Friendly Shipyards, the Create Rock (asteroid creator) script, and SK's Crystal Free SPP's..to streamline the empire-building thing and free up more time for combat and DDRS missions..Voxol's script is remarkably useful (if astronomically expensive), but you really need it in a sector with a well-stocked ED. The crystal-free SPP concept needs some rethinking--for one it's a real bargain at 5 mil for any size SPP--but it's just so friggin convenient. When I think of the zillions of hours I've logged setting up mega-complexes..that could've been reduced by ~30% if I'd used SK's script *sigh*.

So now I've got a 'stable' mid-game equivalent setup..and am ready for more testing and adventure.

KRM398,

Do you have other mods or scripts running?

The reason I ask is that DDRS does not alter in any way the new M7. All DDRS ships are added onto the end of the sstandard Egosoft TShips file, and I can assure you that the entry for the Hyperion M7 is un-touched.

Let me know what else you have running, and I'll see if I can help.

Hmmm...I'd try removing the "new EMP", since the EMP TWare file is included in the DDRS mod.

I don't know why that might affect things, but there is no reason to add any additional complexity.

If that doesn't work, zip-up a save game and send it to me. I should have some time to check it out over the weekend.

Regarding Voxol's Player Friendly Shipyards, it does sell more than 'S' versions of ships (also 'M' and 'L') :) .

KRM98,
sorry to hear about your Hyperion troubles. Hope DD can help you out. For what it's worth get yourself a Naginata. She's definitely a better ship.
And it looks like some non-Yaki knockoffs of Naginata might be available in future versions of the mod to increase access to that lovely lady!
