Zurechial does not have the right files uploaded though, those are the old files and the mod was updated. The old less asteroids file does not work correctly. If you are having trouble downloading the less roids mod send me a PM with your email address.

I havent got a 1.21 save game as I restarted with 1.3 and the extra roids didnt really bother me untill I have bought my first TL now they bother me as its crazy trying to get through them. I was wondering if I un installed my game then installed the 1.21 patch then went into my game and saved it again would it work that way and then I could install 1.3 again

just wanted to post back, everything worked great with the 1.21 save

lessroids and 1.3 hud. i also run the race response script and SatBasedMK3

and my game is flying now, thanks again.....

ive been trying to download this mod, as ive heard it makes a difference to the games performance, so i thought id give it a go, when i try to down load it i get an error message, looks like a good one though.

Copied X-3 onto my work laptop and without your 'wee mod' it would be impossible to run....Started a pure trading game so the less enemies was a bonus too.The odd pirate group turns up but 'have jump drive will travel'[in the opposite direction]....Many thanks for your work BlackRain... :thumb_up: :) :thumb_up:

Hello BlackRain,

since your LessRoids script doesn't work in an already running game, I was wondering if you could try to write a script that would work only on demand, only in the sector the player currently hovers around, and destroys every asteroids around.

I am not a scripter (only just started) yet I've studied some scripts - so, unfortunately I am not able to script my way out by myself... but I think it should be possible to "scan" a sector for asteroids and perform a "destroy" command on those, even without showing explosions.

The main problem I have and want to solve is to get rid of asteroids blocking some paths and also the vast amount of small rocks that happen to remain after blowing up big asteroids manually. I kept blowing the pieces to pieces but after a while I ended up with bizillions of small rocks that really annoy me...

Please, please, please :) if there is a way to script those away (nuke 'em) I think I won't be the only one falling on my knees thanking you :)

Ouch, that's one hell of a lot of rocks....

Don't quite understand why your save-game didn't work, cause I actually took pictures before and after applying the less roids/less enemies mod just to check for myself..

N Z, did you go from a 1.2.01 save, apply the mod, then save to 1.3? If you already have your game at 1.3 then it wont work if you apply the mod, because the asteroids are generated at new game creation, or in the case where you apply it to a 1.2.01 save, when you update it to 1.3.

Ahhhh yes, thats what I did I think (memory a little hazy)...
Generally what I do is copy all my save games out before I upgrade to newer versions, that way if I have to go back for any reason I got copies.. - I thnk what I did was just copy the last save from 1.2.1 back into the game :)

Sorry Art, I wasnt very clear with my post. As far as I know, you can not create a script that nukes all asteroids. I know I have seen commands to destroy asteroids but that problem is, that all of those smaller asteroids are generated by a certain file at game creation, like when you start a new game so the only way to get rid of them is to edit this file and then start a new game. Now, there might be a way to do it with a script but as of yet no one has figured out how, so I assume it is not possible.

I just wanted to say that this mod made it possible for me to play this game. The framerate on the lowest graphic settings were decent when I first started playing but the framerate in combat made it basically unplayable. Now I run this mod and all aspects of the game so far are running very smoothly (except PSGs but I need a different mod to fix that :)

PLEASE READ LAST COUPLE OF THREADS FOR INFORMATION ON THESE MODS! The Less Asteroids Mod requires that you start a new game or load a version 1.2.01 game and then save so that it becomes 1.3.

Edit--- Forgot to mention, real easy to install just extract the two files into your MODS directory and when you start up x3, hit the select mod package and select the mod.

I changed this a little, read last post to see what was done, enemies should be easier for you now, please give me feedback.

i get a error stating fire has been deleted since the fire has been inactive for 30 days so i cant downloand the less roids mod which would improve my system performance in ore belt and seizewell :(
