The Boron Orca (TL) definitely has its own model. I own two of them, and they seem to have significantly wider back ends (and skinnier front ends) than the other two Boron capital ships.scoochy wrote:And I think the Boron TL is the same as one of the other Boron models, not sure though, gonna have to check that.

Amazing work!!!, reminds me of the Startrek charts which finally showed me how enormous a Romulan Warbird was compared to a Galaxy-class.
I've moved the rest of my reply to it's own topic, otherwise there could be treathhijacking or 'here we go again' feelings.

Thumbs up for this effort!

The intentions are to have 3 pages of ships. Cap ships page, which is almost complete. this page will also have an M3, M4 M5 and the M6's for size comparison.
A fighter page, with M3-M6.
And a TS/TP page showing the scales of the freighters.
As for the Teladi Phoenix, I am either going to rescale the ships and use her as the main, that way I can keep it the same reolution, and get rid of the crap look it has now since I had to blow it up so much to match, or, try and take 2 shots of it, and merge them. However, this may present some perspective problems. X3 has a fisheye view, which is noticable when looking at planets at the edge of the screen...they turn into eggs, and ships tend to warp as well.
As it stand right now, the scale is such, the ship size you see is as if it were being viewed at 1.6km. If I rescale everything to make the Phoenix as the main, the distance will be as if they were 2.53km. Which may result in loss of detail on the smaller caps. That's not what I want.
Going to do some research tonight and find out the best way to tackle this, and keep the ships looking good, while still remaining accurate.

Sounds great. And it is already great work you have done so far.scoochy wrote:The intentions are to have 3 pages of ships. Cap ships page, which is almost complete. this page will also have an M3, M4 M5 and the M6's for size comparison.

The image on the first page is just a quick "reference" if you will. Updated whenever I make a change. There is also a rar file, hosted by NZ-Wanderer, which has the "Hi-Res" image and is about a 2.5 meg rar, 3+ uncompressed. The rar just may not be as up to date as the lower quality image on page 1. The rar can be found on his website http://www.nzscenery.com/x3-reunion.htmlesd wrote:Your current image looks fantastic, but your JPG compression has started to cause artifacts.
To be perfectly honest, I don't think people would care if the image turned out to be a few megabytes to download, because it's that good
Edit: Correction, it is a rar file
