Is this multi-sector and working with the PHQ? I'd love to have this transfer an x amount of goods from support stations to teh PHQ

Linked the trade post with the node, added wares I want to sell (there are some in the node's stock), and they don't show up in trade post's stock.
Maybe I need to wait, how long if that's the case?

The current version of FDN cycles every three minutes. If your able to post your save file I'll have a look,

Yes it works with the PHQ and is multi sector, each node has a different range.

sstbrg: I have AI traders that do something similar @ times. Usually I have to kick them out of the dock and the problem is fixed. Have you tried canceling the trade command, undocking him and reissuing the command?

I've had this happen before, and its kind of quirky. Thought it was because I had the price too high, but I watched the trader, and then looked around, plenty of places to sell for that price. The TS would load cargo, drop cargo, load cargo, drop cargo, indefinitely. Dont remember if this was a trade dock, or a node when It happened for me. Basically I stopped using the default scripts and stuck with cags.

Looking good :D I doubt I will have much time to do anything since I am moving in 5 days =/ but after that I plan to go at it. What models did you want me to send?

Don't worry mate, sounds like you have lots coming up :!: FDN will still be there. As there's not much interest in the SSDN mod, I may start the rebuild this weekend, I'm on call so won't have much else on :cry:

Hi Logain. I am testing the next patch for tc and it has an altered tdocks with an additional entry. I merged the entries but then all fdn-stations have changed. Node XL gots the new station, tradeposts changed to relays and so on.

Is there a way to avoid that or is the only way to delete FDN, install the patch and start withl FDN from scratch? :( :shock: :evil:

Damn :evil: ,

FDN finds the stations by linking the Page 17 id with the subtype of the TDock file, so the saved game is still maintaining this link changing the station model.....

Does this affect the existing in-game FDN models or just ones deployed since the patch?

If i load a previous savegame all deployed stations are changed and all shipyards have the new station but that is wrong because its a teladi station.

If i start a new game, that station is not in the shipyard so there it works right.

Looks like that the game ignores the subtype in the tdocks if a game is already running and it uses only the proper sequence which has changed with the new entry. :/

Well, after many trials I can't set FDN to work properly with CAG (and even without CAG).
It would be great if that was possible, so that FDN could be also used for trading purposes and not only for supply. I know there are other scripts, but they won't do what I want that easily. :(


Wanted to write a long reply describing the issues I have (apart from the ones I already described), but instead I'll just upload my savegame - maybe in the end everything is due to bad settings.

Grr :evil: ,

I'll have to write a script to find, record wares, destroy, create correct model and reload wares!

I'll also have to try and maintain all the settings :x

Hi sstbrg, there is another reason why the traders aren't working from the Node or Trade Post. If it's been scripted in rather than bought and deployed I'm not sure if the trade scripts are kicked off correctly (in game, not FDN scripts). Have you tried resetting the Trade with other races option a few times?

There could be a way around it! If the new model is not actually in the game universe then the FDN entries could be left as is and the new line added after the FDN ones....

Not sure if it will work, could you have a play :?:

I'll also have to correct my new SSDN, as thay uses a custome TDock too :evil:
