Only draw back to this script of course is that you have to STAY on friendly terms with the Argon's

I still dont get how the Military Transports work.. I still havent seen a single one ingame. Apart from the usual vanilla "Teladi Military Transport" etc, no color-coded names or anything.
And what about the flight path hotkey, do i press that when i found and targeted one of those transports, or just anytime?
It really needs to be better explained ^_^

I just want some easy step 1-5 of how to get a TP to sit in a military outpost and recruit folks. Will it only work in Argon military outposts, or any?

Do you already have the required ranks for the MTP? ... at least Federation Guardian and Fighter Chief?
Saetan wrote:Recruitment of personnel

As a distinguished member of the Argon federation, military transports are marked in terms of color on the sector map. A blue marking indicates a transport currently transporting turret personnel, a red marking indicates an empty transport. (Federation Guardian / Fighter Chief)

You just have to set it first, after that you can hit it anywhere and anytime you want. If your ranks are high enough (see above), you'll get the flight plan shown. If not, you'll only hear a peep.

Just dock a TP, with at least a lieutnant in its cockpit, at an Argon Military Outpost or Equipment Dock. If a MTP docks at the station where your TP is docked, a random amount of personnel of the same race as the lieutnant will be hired.

staying friendly to argon... UGH!!

I usually play as a pirate and stay allied with paradin / teladi while laying waste to argon... because thats what pirate guild by serial kicked does... kill argon, as their an abundant race. No matter where I go theres some argon food transporter or industrial ships ripe for the pluckin. My current game argon hates me, im like a argon wanted terrorist rank or something. Argon shoot me on sight, but I have the pirate guild backing me up and we have already blown up 3 stations.

so I guess I cant use this script....

...or is there a way I can use a cheat to add the npcs I need to my ship.. using a cheat manager or something? Cuz its MARS or MEFOS or arkhanis or codea, and I much prefer Codea to arkanas(sorry kicked) for carrier management.

Use the personnel transporter script by Lucike in addition to the military transporter to train your crew by yourself. May be hard work, especially for gunners ... but it works. Every art of playing has it's own challenges ;-)

no no no, you misunderstand my question.

is there a way to train marines into capital /gunner crew WITHOUT argon military transport.

My notoriety with argon is like -100000 I cannot go into argon sector without getting attacked, I cannot dock at any argon station. THEY HATE ME.

So in order to benefit from this script, I HAVE TO be on good terms with argon Yes/no

I was asking if there was a way around the script to get crew(script or cheat) without having good relations with argon, because im like the argon arch nemesis! BANNED From all argon sectors because I went on a rampage in argon sector blowing up an argon trade station and several mine factories and slaughtering countless argon traders.

Saetan already answered your question Rage.

Personal Transporter allows training of basic marines (any race) into specialists to be used with Lucike's scripts, it just take more time / management, no rep requirements needed.

From my interpretation of what he said (could be wrong) you will also need military transport installed (even if you can't hire from them due to rep, think of them as extra fluff to the universe) for personal transporter to work properly.

Correct ... as far as I remember, Personnel is still part of the Military Transport-Script, so it's a needed resource for any of Lucike's scripts using that personnel.
Independent of using the transporters to hire or using other way's to get the personnel.

im sorry I read your response wrong. You said troop transporter im thinking the military argon transporters you mean the device/ware i can use to Mold a random marine into a specalist

Its exactly what i needed, thanks,

Umm, nothing bad is gonna happen if I recruit a machinist from a race that is currently hostile towards me, right?

Until now ... no.

But somewhere on Lucike's list, there are some ideas how such enemy race crew members could interact with your ship. For example rebellion is such an idea. ;-)

Do mechanics need certain resources in order to repair ships on board the carrier?

You need at least one mechanic on your carrier. You also need one unit of microchips and two units of ore per repair unit.
If you have more than one mechanic, multiple fighters can be repaired at once. If you have more mechanics than fighters to be repaired, multiple mechanics will work on the same fighters. So, the more mechanics you've got, the faster the repairs will be finished, as long as you've got the needed materials.
A repair unit is individual to each fighter. One unit gets calculated through the minimal prices of the ore and microchips, the repair costs at a shipyard and the damage of the fighter. One unit gets repaired by any mechanic every 20 seconds.

Seems to be a qustion related to CODEA and not to the MTP, if I understood correctly.

You are trying to hire pilots from a station via CODEA. You're not trying to hire personell from a docked MTP. Correct?

Although, if I read again, you're trying both?

For the pilots via CODEA: dock at an (argon) military outpost and try to hire there. Keep in mind that you need the cargo bay life extension and enough free cargo space for the pilots.

For the MTP, check your ranks again, especially your fighting rank. See some posts above for more detailed information.
