I was as surprised as anyone to see why I got a gold medal (but I'm not ashamed of having not failed to board only four ships, even if two of them were in the Terran plot)!

To address the issue so many of you have raised about which stat categories attract the medals and the criteria required for each, I'm sure the development team responsible for it will be looking at the feedback you are providing and may make some tweaks further down the line.

I do not think they are objectionable just not significant either. Still I'm not into the whole comparision thing. I just play to have fun or as a distraction from life's many horrors.

Some more feedback then: My game records the amount of ore and silicon mined but doesn't include this in the uplink stats. That would be one more thing for the non-fighters to aim at.

Hey, I just tried to uplink (to see if I'd get a medal) and discovered that the file necessary to uplink is not there!

What gives?

Did you actually save your game stats using the option in-game first? It doesn't happen automatically!

In TC it's something like 'Save player statistics' in the 'Advanced' section of the 'Personal' menu.

The option is somewhere in Options in X3R--bear in mind you need the 2.5 patch for X3R installed before the option is available.

yep... and if I remember it right, it creates a file (doesnt it?), which you then have to manually upload...

how far did you get with uploading the stats?

I thought you should get a medal that you 'uploaded' them. That is of course, if your game isnt modified.
