When you say you dont use Steam but if you did you'd order it through them - well you can just download the steam client and install it and then you are a Steam user. Then order X3:TC.

But as others have said there might be cheaper alternatives depending on where you are.

As far as I know there was no US distributor for TC, so the only way to get it is either from Steam, or to order the english version and pay international shipping charges.

I live in South Africa and downloading it through steam is a bit of a problem as my cap is only 1 Gig(uncapped internet is still a far way off in my country, *sigh*) so I'll have to order it online. I just want to know what online supplier is the most reliable and doesn't have extreme import costs? Any help would be appreciated.

they sell c/o gogamer.com and the shipping wasn't bad at all, it was about 10$ if I remember correctly to ship it from UK to my home in the land of snow.

Cheers for the tips, guys and gals, but I had the game pre-ordered at my store, so I decided to wait it out. Pre-ordering gives me a discount.

Also, I'm happy to report that Gamemania is carrying the game since this Saturday. All Belgians, report to your local store and prepare to enter the Terran Conflict.
