It works fine. "Wheat Farm" is not a king of good. It is the Galaxy object. It is Factory. So you can find it in the left list of "Galaxy names", not in "Goods in object".
Oki was just puzzled over I could find all other goods there i.e Argnu Beef but not Wheat. I was only seeking for the product not for the factory so was wrong of me writing Wheat "Farm" last time :)

ScorpBy - I must say a hearty "THANK YOU!" I finally got to download your program and finally started using it. What a life/time saver this program is.

The only issue I have (not with your program) is when I hit F2 to update the logfile, my computer slows way down. It doesn't even matter what system I'm in. Once the "search" is complete my frame rate goes back to normal. I think I might have too many other "background" programs running on my computer.

One small recommendation - under your F1 help directions for updating the logfile, you don't give much explanation about how to get the right logfile. I was able to figure it out just by messing with it until I finally got it right. I know my computer quite well. Here's something that might help those that are not computer savvy:

After the directions for completing in-game set-up:
"During flight, press assigned button for starting script. An alert will appear informing you search has begun. Click Ok. Once search is complete, an alert will appear. Click Ok. Alt-Tab to map program, press F2. At the bottom of the open window, look for "Your Log File" and press "..." button to browse your computer. Locate your X3 Directory (i.e. C:/Program Files/Egosoft/X3 Reunion) and search for a file named "logfile0001.txt". Click this file, then click ok, then click ok again. You will now have the latest information to use the search engine. This process must be done each time you want the latest information."

- I personally recommend about every 15 - 20 minutes if you're really looking for a lot of stuff otherwise every 30 - 60 minutes if you're not heavly using it. If I'm way off base or wrong on some of these procedures, I'll apologize now but I think this would be a bit more helpful for those that just play the game but have no idea how to get "inside" their computer. Hope it helps.

Dude ?
You are mistaken.
The map shows correct coords (-17.467; -362; 217) in meters.

Updated to v1.2.2.7

1) Now you can select between Spoiler and Non-spoiler mode in Options menu (F2). Make new log-file with the latest script.
This option affects search actions and jpeg-export feature, but has no affect on the printing function.
2) Now you can show or hide links between distant hyper-gates. Make new log with the latest script or use the default map.
This option affects jpeg-export feature and printing function.
3) Additional info strings are added to the upper left corner of the sector`s map window according to the selected object. Handy.
4) Now you can single-click right mouse button over the sector to open the info about it (left mouse button double-clicking still works).
Main field of the map still can be dragged by left mouse button as well as by right mouse button.
5) Scripts are updated. 1) and 2) features are added. Gates recognition is improved for non-english and non-russisan X3.
6) Spanish and French races names recognition is added.
7) "Readme_X3_map.doc" is updated.

I have the Steam installed X3, and when I reinstall your map, it tells me it can't find X3.

How do I set the setup to look for X3 in a specific folder?

If you have Steam, you have to use reg-file from the top post of the thread.

As expected, excellent product. This map/search engine is invaluable in my game. Especially looking for the free ships (not that I need them) but, they're fun to find and claim.
Until this map, I never knew where "Senator's Badlands" was. In one of the excel maps I downloaded ages ago, it wasn't on there. Also, I found that other sector that the Goners own.
Keep up the excellent work!

Updated to v1.2.2.8

1) Now the program is compatible with X2: The Threat (tested on version 1.4).
All the functionality is present in X2 except of "distant" links between the sectors.
2) New installer allows to setup the script for X2 automatically (just check the «X2-map script» option). If the installer can`t find your X2 use the new reg-file from the top post of the thread. After all, run the game, press Shift+C, choose the second string («Special …») and choose «Activate search of objects» to run the script.
3) Multimonitor function is improved. More multimonitor systems are supported.
4) The main script is optimized. Make new log-files or use the default map.
5) "Readme_X3_map.doc" is updated.

Hi, scorp great map! I have a question about the map, I am unable to create a log file? Do I just upload the one that is already created with the install? Also I am unable to find the "extensions" section under the interface tab in options.

fyi: I purchased the game through steam.

to find this section..

when you're in-game..
1. press ESC to obtain the menu bar
2. select the option marked "Controls"
3. tab along to "Interface"
4. page down to the bottom..

- make your changes here
- be careful not to change one of the keyboard defaults
- I used F10 and F12
readme wrote:2) How to initialize the script and to make the own log-file:
– Start X3, load the savegame, go to «Options» – «Controls» and select «Interface» tab.
– Scroll down till «Extensions» section (usually in the end of the tab).
– Set Hot-key (SHIFT+F2 for example) to «Activate search of objects» script.
– Run the script while in space and wait for it completion (about 15-20 seconds).
– Switch to the map (Alt-Tab), press F2, press the «…» button and locate the file log00001.txt in X3 root-folder. Now the map is tuned to work with your log-file. You can use F5 button to re-fresh the map from the defined log-file. «OFF» button allows you to return to using the stan-dart map, selected during the installation.
- Start Scorp's map and drop it to the Toolbar - then start X3
- when you're in-game press alt+tab to toggle the map on and off..
- whilst in-flight use your selected key(s) to operate the map's update functions

- if you're running Ace's "Find ships in Galaxy" search function.. (- mine's on F12..)
- a message appears on-screen, informing you that the search is in progress - it takes a few seconds to complete
- later, when you check your pilots log you'll see that a message has been left there
- the whole universe is running in BETA mode - we're working on it.. beep..!! :D

Heya Bug, yeah I don't have this "extensions" section you guys are talking about, I have read the readme file....unless I install the program in the wrong directory? Does it have to be in the X3 Folder?

Thanks,
_K
