any way to disable the "capture ship" part ? I am loosing huge amount of ships including my mains Capitals ships when they still have half shield and all the armor O.o it's insane because i have never been able myself to capture anything bigger than an M3...
edit : now i have just seen i loosed 1/3 of my TS due to caaping O.o
also anyway to change the IA number to a lower number ? as in time it's hard to challenge 2 or 3, but 5 are too much i beleive, due to the time it need to kill their assets in all the world, without speaking of the Republic ones

I think this will disable the capture feature. In script plugin.handymen.sig.fight.atack.xml comment out everything from
028 $rv = = random value from 1 to 70 - 1
through
043 end
That should do it. I haven't tested the script with that change, but from looking through the scripts, that looks to be the capture logic.
There is a thin line between genius & insanity i have erased this line
Looks like a great idea! I would also like it with an option to disable the "capture player's ships" part. Gonna try the above suggestion. How do you comment out the lines, put a semi-colon in front? That doesn't seem to work...
press the . (Full Stop Button) while highlighting the line to Comment a line.
press the , (Comma Button) while highlighting a commented line to Uncoment it.
LV, full credit to you and the amount of hours you have put into this plugin. These sorts of things only make x3 a better product for all to play, should they choose to.
Well done mate, and I hope people appreciate the effort you have shown!
yes thanks a lot , this give really more life and challenge
edit : maybe should add a BBS stuff that offer for X millions full list of competitors, with data on their assets (number of ships - stations - total assets value, an offer from a spy

Actually I agree in part with this. I'm not sure about paying millions for it, but a "leaderboard" listing the number of ships, stations, and credits of each player would be a simple and excellent addition to the plugin.
At the moment, I have NavSats in all sectors (except Xenon) and I keep checking all the sectors just to see if I can see any "AL race" ships. So far I've seen a few TS/TP ships here and there, but thats all, after about 10 game hours.
Roughly how long until they start to build up combat ships? Also, will these AL players build stations and if so, how would I identify them on the sector map??
they can cap your stuff? do they have to be provoked? or is this the utimate hostile takeover?
just seems like it would be silly....if i go off nd start blowing up every freighter that leave a weapons fab (to drive up prices) someone sooner or later will kill me.. (Race respons script)
PS:Um... is it normal for 'god' to reduce the number of Hept fabs to 1 A+B hept fab and 1 A hept fab....equiping M6's is getting....tedius.
Once like me you have begin to kill the ships / stations of one IA , it will send M6 and other ships killing your stations. Problem is that they also CAP any ship, and it seems they dont care if this ships is a M0 with full shield or a M5 unarmed, you just have a small "beep" about ship attacked and its all, your capital ship turn red
Also seems to me that only the fighters appears as hostiles, not the TS

Hmmm, all I have seen after many days of playing are the odd TS/TP ship here and there. I've not seen any fighters, and I don't believe I have seen any AI factories? (how would one recognise them apart from the usual ones anyhow?)
I started on "experienced", so I understand I will need to give them some time to build up - I just expected to see some M5/M4/M3 ships belonging to the AI players so they can start killing ships for cargo/cap purposes. Depends on how "smart" the script routines are I guess.
Does anybody know if the plugin actually sets AI Competitors as Yaki or pirates? And if so, are Yaki/pirate competitors attacked by races (other than Teladi)??
Also: does this plugin conflict with Yaki Armada and Pirate Guild??

Should work fine. By and large, most scripts will be unaffected by the patch. It's only mods that will have the problems. Scripts should only be affected if the patch introduces conditions that the scripter didn't anticipate - which will be pretty unlikely.
