yes, that'd better be a fast enflating and huge chute with only 100m to go :D
I checked, 300 feet is possible for an emergency deployment. Hard landing though.

Having made over 2500 parachute jumps, I think I can say that the downdraft from a helicopter is negligable.(spelling)

And yes I have skydived through a storm cloud.

I'm impressed.. I'm taking it you've jumped from a helicotper as I always assumed that it's the downdraft that kept the thing airbourne... :)

As I read it I assumed that the eye of the storm meant it was more akin to a hurricane type storm rather than a thunder and heavy rain type storm..

Hmmm.... :gruebel:
“Those were Jackson’s numbers, Max and the acceleration and terminal velocity constants are not valid for this gravity well. If you’d pulled on 100 you’d be a concertina by now.”

Nope, i don't trust him.....that's at least two **** up's Jackson's made now, both could have been terminal for Max.

Watch your back Max!..... :D

Good read again :)

Excellent and exhilerating to read, Steve! :D

Jackson appears to have very valuable hidden talents. I almost though the copter went to bits. Looks like the Sec Floater is different to what I expected/anticipated it to be :D

I am looking forward to more!

Cool and thrilling :D

Very nice installment. I wonder about the chess with timetravel, that's gotta be exciting

you have got a " 'd began' in the earlier section of this part, which should read " 'd begun', shouldn't it?

I am looking forward to the end of this chapter ... it's straining with all the tension on for so long :D

Keep it coming!

Max in the sewers, Jackson has smuggler tunnels available! I do wonder if Max is being made to jump through a few hoops here?

End of chapter coming soon, after some 4D chess of course. Good call on began and begun, it forced me to look it up in a grammar aid. Never heard of a past intransitive before, in the UK they stopped teaching grammar 30 years ago. We just make it up as we go along now!

Great stuff. Noticed a couple of things:

1. Right near the end: "but she could sense not change in it’s tenor or flow so she entered the door code." I think this should be "but she could sense no change"

2. At the very end you have just got "Xel" ?

Cheers
