Hi if anyone else is using this Hotas in X4 could they read and try and help me please.
My sticks appear to be working game controllers in windows however this is what i am doing in game
No profile loaded in target
Run X4
Load default profile in game
Run a tutorial stick works fine but the throttle does nothing
I go into control settings and the throttle is set to Zaxis
I remove the binding and try and add an alternative
Moving the throttle does not bind anything
End result i am wondering if i have a defective throttle unit.
Any suggestion or scripts i can use would be welcomed.
trying to get TM support to help is painful

Wait, did you not say the sticks (and throttle?) were working in Windows but not in-game? If that is all correct then how could the throttle be defective?
Your recent batch of Warthog threads asking for X4 advice for the stick and for a Target software profile (which seems from prior discussion threads on Warthog to be rather essential for using the throttle in X4 without using some cunning axis transfer/workaround instead) all stopped rather inconclusively. Before I merge them together to try to make some overall sense of the approach, did you want to say here what you have found and tried so far in terms of its software and settings? That could be very relevant to the current problem.
TLDR, and as stated before, the simplest indications are that you need a Target profile to use the Warthog throttle successfully in X4.

Hi Alan, i did try the script in the thread you pointed me to but on running it says there was an error on line x. When i say it works in windows its very limited as in it shows to be ok in game controllers but the throttle movement is barely detected in the event analyser built into Target. in game it comes up under manager controls as a 2nd device which is correct. However I was under the impression I could bind it in game but no luck trying that way.
Yes what i need is a working target profile for X4, however I am having issues finding a working one. I have a ticket raised with TM about the throttle but no reply yet. I am happy to get the throttle repaired or replaced if my existing unit is faulty. Thanks for responding
