Hard to say who might have been the target? or could have been another staged affair? But then again, the ballroom wouldn't have worked there. So if this was to try and still get more attention for building that, it another failure.

So Trump and the DOJ are terrified of Bondi's testimony. She has failed to show up in congress. Until recently, she said, she would. But now Trump is trying to block her testimony full stop. Then again, she knows where the bodies are buried. She of course Trump will try and block her.

If this happen,s and allowed to happen, No justice any more in America. Or for the victims of Epstein.

Pathetic.

Trumps wants an extra 1 billion usd on top of the 400m for the bunker/ballroom/medical facility/military command centre now

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/202 ... p-ballroom

Senate Republicans have released a new immigration enforcement funding package that includes a proposed $1bn that could go to security measures related to the $400m ballroom that is part of Donald Trump’s “East Wing modernization project”.

More elections look like they will be cancelled/rigged. So far ballots have been taken and thrown out/ignored. The likely purpose of data centres and them collecting data is so that the republicans can divide districts into districts that favour them. That way there's a chance by the end of 2026 they will still have a majority. They will likely further rig the elections if not. In this way americans have lost their right to vote by making their votes count for less or not count. As long as republicans can hold a majority or x seats then they are in control of the government. The members of the supreme court of the US are also hanging out at maga events with trump. Both dems and republicans. A lot of fake song and dance but at the end of the play the results are there.

US elections are done and Americans lost their right to vote through remapping, etc.... Maga 2025 plan progresses.

Virginia Supreme Court strikes down Democrats’ redrawn US House maps, giving Republicans a win. red states can randomly Gerrymander and redraw districts while blue states that voted on it can't. Democracy is dead in the US and this just further proves it. Government seizing and tossing out votes, government targeting polling workers, data centres and ai being used to rig elections monitor/delete/alter/hide forums/news/user posts/etc... Even reddit posts are being monitored/deleted. After the ice thing the government really cracked down.

Don't be so pessimistic - in Hungary, Orban tried same shenanigans plus full state support, plus full political and internet troll backing from US and Russia and he was still crushed.

With such bad Trump ratings, economic troubles and gas prices, I really don't see how Republicans can expect anything but major a** whooping in November.

Indeed, if you’re sufficiently unpopular, gerrymandering can become counterproductive.

It works best when you have enough support to carefully ‘crack’ opposition voters across multiple districts or ‘pack’ them into a few safe seats. But if there are too many swing or opposition voters overall, you can only shuffle them around so much. The voters you displace have to go somewhere, and overplaying your hand can leave you with a map full of fragile districts that collapse when public opinion shifts.

Even electoral engineering has mathematical limits. At some point, if enough voters dislike you, district lines start looking less like strategy and more like aggressively rearranging deck chairs.

US republican map redrawing expands a lot Alabama, Tennessee, Louisiana, South Carolina, Texas, North Carolina, Missouri and more. They don't care about vote results and law/constitutions.

trumps below 28% popularity.

If the democrats don't get the vast majority of seats in Virginia and other states then the vote has been rigged. If democrats don't get a majority then it will show that democracy is dead in the US. That is my criteria. 2026 will look like a great year compare to 2027/2028 and beyond. Republicans have been in closed meetings talks to militias in other countries to arm them to over throw their governments, they have been trying to over throw other governments through political parties, etc.... They will continue. Time will tell.

Trump wants the US taxpayer to pay $1 Billion for the security of his ballroom along with the current $400 Million, meanwhile he wants to build an iron dome to protect the whole of the US of A which he priced at $175 Billion, no idea where he got the price form, but they did a review on the cost, and they put it at $1.2 Trillion yes that's a T, slightly more than his $175 Billion. Hold on a second, let's go back a bit, $1 Billion to protect a single building and a $175 Billion to protect a whole country, the maths just don't add up. Not to mention the review also found that it wouldn't work not with the way modern warfare is going.

Well, the best president the US has ever had is also the smartest and knows what he's talking about. Great Israel demonstrates how effective Iron Dome is against nuclear ICBMs. Not to mention the constant threat of artillery shells from evil neighboring countries like Canada, Mexico, and Cuba.

The $175bn quoted figure is the cost of getting the system up and running. The $1.2trn is the initial cost and 20 year operational running. Distinct differences.

Golden Dome is essentially a means to detect and destroy early the launch of intercontinental ballistic missiles, nuclear capable, rather than drones. Ukraine and Russia lob drones at each other non stop and it's not world ending. Yes, disrupts oil production and blah blah.

However, just one missile carrying 16 nuclear warheads would be, for all intents and purposes, world ending. So it's understandable way of trying to *negate* the temptation to launch a nuke, rather than relying upon the "we'll kill everyone if you do" deterrence.

Scientific American has a good article about why it's pretty much farcical, simply based around the satellites (which are much cheaper to launch now) as they need to be in low earth orbit; this means they need replacing due to orbital decay every 3-5 years. They hypothesise that this is 2,000 satellites a year replacement on a "workable" constellation of 10,000 interceptor satellites.

You can see how the cost of running it for 20 years is therefore $1.2trn - and you can see who (other than defence companies) may be doing the whispering; Elon Musk and his satellite launching...

Additionally, it's easy for the "enemy" to target said satellites and blow holes in your defence (atmospheric nuke), which would render it obsolete before war even started (and Russia has proven several times they can destroy satellites with cheapish missiles).

https://www.scientificamerican.com/arti ... r-strikes/

Anything that appeals to Trump's ego is going to get shoved through. If the Golden Dome needed 50-100bn a year to run it, can see why the defence budget uplift is so staggering. I mean, it's not Trump's money is it? Why should he care :D
But the real worry is this (to me) implies that it's taken for red that they're *going* to have a confrontation/war with China. Not looking at trying to work with to avoid, but decided there's no other option... and isolating Venezuela and Iran from China's sphere of influence/supplying oil is part of that decision. Same with why Cuba is inevitable as well.

The golden dome is supposed to cover Canada also. They tried to force Canada to pay for part of it. Why would Canada want to help put up a missile defence system that's run by the country most likely to invade Canada.

US is eyeing up annexing Venezuela due to it's resources. $40 trillion in oil alone. US has also removed the countries Uranium.

US federal agencies have been dressing up as Mexican law enforcement and running unauthorized illegal operations in Mexico.

https://www.cnn.com/2026/05/12/politics ... ons-mexico

The operations may also be illegal under Mexican law — without the express permission of the federal government, foreign agents are barred from participating in law enforcement operations under the Mexican Constitution.

“It’s not at all clear that all of their missions are coordinated with the [Mexican] government,” said one of the sources.

CNN contacted the office of the Presidency of Mexico and the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs but did not receive comment before publication.

Mexico’s Secretary of Security Omar Garcia Harfuch said in a post on X after publication Tuesday, “The Government of Mexico categorically rejects any version that seeks to normalize, justify, or suggest the existence of lethal, covert, or unilateral operations by foreign agencies on national territory.”

Trump warns Taiwan against declaring independence, hours after summit with China's Xi

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/ce8p61v7l68o

US President Donald Trump has cautioned Taiwan against formally declaring independence from China.

"I'm not looking to have somebody go independent," the US president told Fox News on Friday, at the end of his two-day summit with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping in Beijing.

Trump noncommittal to continued Taiwan arms sales after meeting with Xi- trump might not sell weapons to Taiwan

https://www.politico.com/news/2026/05/1 ... reddit.com

President Donald Trump said he was still deliberating a major arms sale to Taiwan, floating what would amount to a significant change in American foreign policy following a summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing.

“I’ll make a determination over the next fairly short period. I’m gonna make a determination,” he told reporters of the potential sale as Air Force One made its way back to the U.S. from China on Friday, saying he needed to speak to the person “that’s running Taiwan.”

The comments from the president — who acknowledged that Xi raised U.S.-Taiwan arm deals in their discussion — could amount to a fairly dramatic shift. One of the commitments that the administration of President Ronald Reagan made to Taiwan in 1982 — known as the Six Assurances — was that the U.S. wouldn’t consult with Beijing on weapon sales to the island.

Do you remember the T1 phone, the golden phone monstrosity from Trump, the one that would be made in the USA to not be made in the USA and is around a year late on being delivered. Well it turns out the website that is selling the pre-orders is quite happily allowing all the personal data of those customers who were stupid enough to buy one to be released to the world for their perusal. The guy who discovered the exploit allowing this to happen tried and tried to get them to shut the exploit down, just for them to ignore him leading for him to inform some known people (coffeezila/penguinz0) who had bought one that their info was being broadcasted to the world, they tried to get the data removed from public viewing just to also be ignored, so they have gone public with this and are saying don't buy unless you want your information shared with everyone else.

I have to say the funniest part of all of it, Trump has said that the phone was a great success and had sold over 590 thousand units, the problem is with the data breach they can see exactly how many phones have really been sold, and it is looking like it isn't quite 30K or around 5% of the amount Trump has been saying he sold, who would have thought Trump had been making the numbers up. :D

Beyond stupid that the justice department is now doing a criminal probe into E Carroll. Or that they are even doing anything at all. Its clear corruption. As the DOJ shouldn't have any dealings with civil matters. Heck, Trump also trying to get the supreme court involved in this matter.

No justice now. Noot until Trump is gone. Looks like the woman will not be getting any money at all now.

So I have been on an extended Trump hiatus which I ended ealier this week. Checked in with where we were at. See Lindsay Graham call for the Nobel price to be renamed to Trump price. Yep, still the same mindless nonsense. Will go back on Trump hiatus and continue to focus my attention to my home countries politics, which may appear less absurd to anyone not capable of speaking German but is just as bizarre at times. My prediction for the time I break my hiatus again: Trump will he selling his bath water like that one streamer did and his fans will drink it. Till then.
