Re: No Man's Sky
So far I've only found one 'S-SSS' creature, just waiting for it to be ready to lay an egg, so I can tune that up.
I've not bothered to take other players on, as I've seen a lot of pellet duplicating going on, and people posting creature locations, removing the thrill of the hunt.

Re: No Man's Sky
Natural SSS are rare as hens teeth, I found 4 altogether so far, 2 of which are creatures I wanted the other 2 were not so much. Building up a few good teams which are varied for possible challenger combinations is quite a long term quest. Worth it though for the sense of achievement.
That new save editor I mentioned a few posts back can give you everything so its seriously tempting, but I have abstained from pumping creatures in my long term play through so far.
Edit: I found people were quickly starting to ramp up creatures too (far quicker than you should be able to unless extremely lucky), I also dont like the random glitched humongous Corvettes that turn up in the anomaly making the game lag .. So now I just run the games exe directly instead of launching through GOG Galaxy = No connectivity with any server crap going on / no griefing experiences / no lag / no monkeys jumping on the battle table while you are in a battle

Re: No Man's Sky
I must be doing something right as nearly all mine are now SSS - don't forget you can breed them and the eggs given out as rewards by Oceanus are all SSS.
If you want to improve the rating of a new creature put it in a practice fight with a couple of higher rated creatures. (if they are lvl 30 you should get at least 20 gene edits - even if they lose in one shot. )

Re: No Man's Sky
NMSE 1.1.61 just released.alt3rn1ty wrote: ↑Sat, 2. May 26, 12:34 New save editor:
Anyone familiar with GoatFungus NMSSaveEditor, its been updated recently but there are outstanding issues with its code GF doesn't seem to be getting round to ..
So, a professional developer by the nickname of Vector_Cmdr, decided he wanted an end to the closed source projects and build his own from the ground up, and made it open source C# (no more need for Java or .Net, its an exe) .. there are a few other people helping to produce Linux and Mac versions (both need Wine)
No Mans Save Editor (NMSE)
@ Github https://github.com/vectorcmdr/NMSE
@ Website https://nmse.vectorcmdr.xyz/
Also has a Discord, linked on the Website.
Its similar to GF old editor (in layout), but has far more features.
VC is very responsive to feedback and open to requests .. but see the roadmap first, lots of things planned.
You can Import/Export loads of things including ByteBeat songs, generate a new seed for your Freighter Crew, edit companion creatures to have rarer parts which would take you a lifetime to find in game etcetera etcetera.
Its at a very good stage right now and imho we can trust it not to bodge anything in our saves, still Preview but the professional dev has very good history and I cant fault it for anything (version 1.1.52, another version is coming out this weekend making the amount of warps to the next space battle editable .. If you are hunting creatures for Arena battles the space battle after 5 warps and so many hours are far too frequent and a pain in the butt).
If you are currently madly searching for creatures to raise for the arena, and those pesky space battles are occurring a bit too often now .. NMSE allows us to edit and greatly increase the count to next Space Battle.

Correction I think it may be 30 Victories over Oceanus and it's way over 20 for the Holo-Arena victories - 200?Redvers Ganderpoke wrote: ↑Sun, 3. May 26, 08:41 Maxed out all the "achievements" for the Xeno arena apart from one, still need to beat Oceanus enough times to become a "Grandmaster" (possibly 20 times - but could be more! Only up to 11 as you can only challenge him once a day). To get the rewards you need to hatch 30 eggs, train (I think) 25 to level 30, Win 20 Holo-Arena Victories and 60 System Champions. The rewards a SSS level eggs that are ready to hatch. ( I'm current on 525 Holo-Arena victories - although it doesn't feel that much of a grind as the games can be quite fun.)

Yep I think both of those are correct.Redvers Ganderpoke wrote: ↑Fri, 8. May 26, 09:18 Correction I think it may be 30 Victories over Oceanus and it's way over 20 for the Holo-Arena victories - 200?
Forgot to mention the new NMSE also now can remove Terrain edits from your bases (individually), or from the whole save.

Re: No Man's Sky
It is 30 victories over Oceanus. My "Normal" main save has just reached 25. I've been doing the same thing for my "Survival" save and up achieved all the milestones except for the Oceanus one as you can only do it once a day.
