Geometric Owl disappeared when docked - Modded game

Saved it from the dangerous sector in the void, parked it up in my PHQ (the Terran playthru), then went off galivanting for a few days and it simply stopped existing with nothing in the log, so now I can't continue the Torus mission (and ... after that?).
The quest can still be activated but says board the GO but no guidance shows up.
I put it into storage on the Terran plot line base you get with the Boron scientist.
I'm just wondering if the mission is boned or if there's a way around it (I am using mods (about 50), but most are QoL), and no saved file going that far back.
I checked the map, the stations info sheet, other ships, the dangerous sector in The Void - nada.

Someone on Reddit said they lost a docked ship when removing a radar dish from the station (not a dock) which I also did do so have a feeling this may be a bug?

Please provide a link to a savegame, as requested in the very first sticky thread at the top of the forum. Without that we are just guessing at what might have happened, and whether or not the mission can still be salvaged.

If it had been destroyed (such as by altering a station it is docked at) then there should be a message to say that in the player log. Have you checked your property list for the ship? Sometimes if the pilot/AI thinks the ship has orders outstanding to go somewhere else then a ship can go off as soon as the player takes over in any other ship.

That's the weird thing, nothing in the log that I could find.
The reason I parked it up on the station was because I'd not finished the mission so the on board AI wouldn't let any pilot control it except for me (it allows it once the mission is finished I think).
Kind'a my own fault for starting one thing then get distracted by twinkly lights over there

Went to look for her a day(?) or so later.
In the meantime I did move the radar dish in build mode to add a connecting corridor so I could attach more things
(which someone on Reddit said the same thing happened to him).

Is the GO in your property list? If not you may have demolished the dock on HQ which will also destroy any ships currently docked or in the process of docking/undocking and you should have a log entry (filter for the word "destroyed").

If it is in your property list but cannot be teleported to or seen on the flight deck it was put into internal storage to free up the landing pad. Right-click its entry and select "Retrieve from storage" or use one of the consoles on the dock to do the same.

Oh well, thanks for looking. I've started a new game (with even more mods lol), I'll just be more careful and beware of messing with the station builds when ships are docked.

No, I did check. I didn't demolish the dock but I did remove the radar dish (which someone else did and also lost their ships docked on the station).

Yeah I got burned while changing some early station builds to local race modules, in my case it was the pier I was changing and I was getting miners/traders destroyed in the process even if they weren't actually docked at that moment (indeed it really felt buggy at times, I had one miner even spontaneously combust half way across the sector while trying things to prevent it).

Ultimately to avoid this I made sure to unassign/undock all subordinates/ships and park them with go to order before starting the station modifications.
