Problem with X-Tension windows 11 (steam version)

The game freezes on the menu, before the buttons to start the game appear, I tried changing the versions of Windows XP, 7, and 98, but nothing worked.

It crashes as described above. I can't play the game anymore. Changing compatibility mode doesn't fix it - eg. Windows 7, 8, XP SP3, 98, etc. Neither does forcing Nvidia processor to run instead of the Intel one. Neither does turning off the Steam overlay.

I'm on Windows 11. And, I found a couple of dmps in the Local>CrashDumps folder with "X-Tension.exe" appended to the filename. Event Viewer shows a typical dump pasted below:

The faulting modules name is almost always igc32.dll with the same exception code and fault offset. Since igc32.dll is a crucial Intel Graphics driver, you might like to know that I've already had my Intel graphics driver updated recently, and according to the Intel DSA, there are no new updates required for my laptop. The other sole difference was when it crashed twice with winmmbase.dll:

I solved my problem by wrapping with DGVoodoo2. It works again!

Go download it and install DDraw.dll, D3DImm.dll, D3D8.dll, and D3D9.dll in your X-Tension folder.
