Post by Pilgram »

See if this helps.

If there are no usual Pirate Bases then is your game modified or needs a gamefiles verification in case of being corrupt?

Down loaded it from Steam, No mods
Playing as Pious Paranid.
This is the first I haven't had Pirates attacking me. But I do run into them often.

If your game has none of the usual Pirate Bases then it is probably a corrupt gamefiles installation or a corrupted save somewhere in the history of the save chain. You didn't say if you investigated using that site page I linked which advised of some places to look for them.

If pirates are generally ignoring you then that might be as a result of better current reputation with them, or it might be another corruption issue somewhere. The two issues don't *have* to be connected.

I looked on the page for Pirate basses and went there the one in Hatikvah's Faithis the only one I found.
Would it help if I downloaded the game again?

Have you verified the game installation and do any of your saves show as modified when you load them even if you didn't mod anything yourself?

I can't say whether a reinstall will fix it as I have no idea what is wrong. It wouldn't hurt your game installation but may take some time and cannot fix any corruption in the current save chain.

All we can do for now is ask questions and give advice based on the answers given.

By the way, X3:AP uses many of the base X3:TC base gamefiles so make sure that any X3:TC game installation it uses is verified and not modded or corrupt too.
