I couldn't find nosteam for X3FL linux.
I could tell steam to use windows version, but i think then steam would overwrite exe file with original.
Is there a way to run X3FL on linux with unofficial patch and or guilds?
nosteam on linux? (for unofficial patch & guilds)

Re: nosteam on linux? (for unofficial patch & guilds)
Hi Rudi,
The Linux builds of all X3 games do not have Steamworks DRM (unlike the Windows builds). You can just launch them without the Steam client running and you can just copy your X3TC folder if you want a separate installation of TC/AP/FL for the sake of modding them. Just launch the X3FL_main to run the game (or X3FL_config if you want the launcher).
Note that all of your installations will share the same paths for configs and save files though which is why you may want to disable Steam Cloud sync to prevent Steam from overriding your saves from other installations.
Hope that helps

Thank you, this was really helpful! Found the saves, turned off sync, copied files, even copied guilds mod, and it works great!
I might need to change resolution to lower to see UI, but that’s manageable.
