Delivery of information matters.
So does how you interpret it however.

I want ship interiors. The demo showed interior with everything I wanted. Why would I criticize it? Screenshots literally make me drool. Although I'm positive my character still will be unable to lie down on that bed.
Well thank you for proving my earlier point.

Ship with interior is also not a quick work, you could contact some 3d studio and ask them for a quote.
Yesnt. I'm not saying it is no effort. But bottom line is it is still less than other dlcs considering sectors, systems, soundtracks, races, story, station modules, ship designs, etc (again: Astrid).

Erm it does. Ever worked with a legacy codebase?
A comparable thing would be ... if Egosoft ripped out their xml scripting language and put something like lua inside.
In fact I have. It is certainly a pain, but this is still overselling. Just a few things you just take into this for no reason for example are: faction ai, activation behaviours, sector to sector travel, task behaviour, building systems. It certainly was a big thing, but they absolutely did not have to rewrite the entirety of x4 for this.

X4 has 200+ ships to playtest.
That is what the public beta is for. Sure they need to run some tests, but I would wager the majority of it is done by the public beta.
Now, I'm starting to agree that this discussion is starting to stretch out quite a bit. I said what I wanted to say and as much as I like discussions I would rather not make 30+ posts about this.
I would just incline you (and potential other readers) to do everyone involved a favour, including Egosoft and yourself, and think critically about these DLCs. I'm not at all saying dislike or hate them, but looking at the numbers I believe critique is certainly justified and healthy. And that should have reason to be voiced or at least thought about.
