There are a few starship size comparisons floating around the internet. Some 2D drawings. some videos. Anyway, I saw this video and thought it was worth a mention.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tG8uC24Gbos

Very well done, while it doesn't include ever ship, it does a good job of showing off a wide range of ships, like "The Librator" from Blake's 7" a few star wars and star trek ships. and some from games.

So yeah, very well done indeed.

Seen a fair few of these over the years, but holy crikey this one seems very comprehensive. Not seem the flight of the navigator ship before :) Also, it's not correct i'm sure :D

Meanwhile, in other news, a hand bag sold for $10,000,000 dollars.

It's a bit of leather... with some history. But honestly :D

X ai's chat bot Grok (aka MechaHitler) goes on a racist twitter spree. Recommends Adolf Hitler as best person to deal with anti-white issues.

Here are some religious folks, it must be liberating living your life with zero self-awareness. These people have no clue how hypocritical they come across:
I believe marriage is a sacred covenant and I have earnestly pursued reconciliation. But in light of recent discoveries, I do not believe that it honors God or is loving to myself, my children, or Ken to remain in the marriage

Nvidia becomes the most valuable company. Not by companies buying ai stuff but countries. Sovereign ai is now the highest demanded ai. Ai bought by countries to control the country including the people.

Will be interesting to see how that works with X ai's new feature. Elon Musk’s Grok AI Now Includes a P****graphic Waifu Chatbot. Apperently the personality is, at least partially, based on Elon Musk's previous partner, the singer Grimes.

EDIT: I am probably not the only one who finds this insanely creepy right?

More like super irritating and cringe - it's a new record:
I was tired of AI Balenciaga videos after a month.
Yeti selfie AI videos after a week.
Grok AI waifu was over for me after just one day.

I think it's because the way it talks, it reminds me that NPC imitating tik tok girl from 2-3 years ago.

Sorry to shatter you illusion, but the link leads to a Vice article, with the same headline as my linktext. There is also nothing deep here, it is exactly what the link text says.

Australian conservative feminist group Collective Shout wins another victory against the depiction of NSFW themes in video games. In the past they had managed to get numerous games delisted from Steam for, to be fair, morally reprehensible content. Now they managed to get itch.io to deindex all NSFW games on the site. The group wants to ban any depiction of anything deemed by them as ‚pornographic material‘, from the internet. To do so, they target companies that deal with payment processes to sites like Steam. Games they have targeted in the past but not yet managed to remove from Steam and other storefronts include the Cyberpunk game Detroid become Human and the GTA series of games. (If anyone is wondering why these games in particular, they both feature scenes taking part in strip clubs, a locality the group does not want to see depicted in any type of media.)

I think conservative men are fine since "conservative" usually means "traditional values" that usually means that men must have more rights than women.

Which means this name is an oxymoron of course, as feminism is defined as "equal rights of men and women".

Often I see these contradictory terms surface when a group wants to hijack certain supporters

I've never been a fan of Tencent - but this is a new low, even for them... Tencent started working [without permission] on a Horizon spinoff, pitched later for a Horizon spinoff at the IP owner (Sony), didn't got it, now plan to release it as "their new IP"

Sony are suing Tencent to "prevent irreparable harm" inflicted by Horizon knockoff Light of Motiram

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting is shutting down due to trump defunding them.

https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/c ... d-by-trump

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, a cornerstone of American culture for three generations, announced Friday it would take steps toward its own closure after being defunded by Congress — marking the end of a nearly six-decade era in which it fuelled the production of renowned educational programming, cultural content and even emergency alerts.

Internet Archive has been involuntarily been made part of the US Depository Library. I think the general idea is that the government can then remove content from the site that they don't people watching.

The effort to defund the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) has been longstanding. Not everyone thinks that public tax dollars should go into supporting liberal political and ideological concerns. For example, part of the "renowned educational programming", includes blatant pro-trans agenda, such as seen on PBS Kids, Prideland, Growing up Trans, and others.

Over the years, I have very much enjoyed programs from PBS and other outlets funded by CPB, but they should have resisted the pressure to conform to the modern wave of left-wing lunacy. If a media outlet wants to promote some particular political or ideological agenda, they need to be funded by their own consumers - not be forcing everyone else to contribute.

This is yet another unfortunate case where liberals have shot themselves (and arguably everyone else) in the foot. Perhaps some day CPB can be resurrected in a form that actually serves the public.

I'm just going to throw this in here.

Forensics expert analysis of Jeffrey Epstein jail video from CBS mews, it's pretty interesting while pointing out what all the indescrepencies in the video are.

The whole point of conspiracy theories is that they make claims without supporting evidence and will ignore any evidence that contradicts or disproves.
So "Chem trails", "moon landing fake", "jfk was at all Trump rallies", "floods caused by chemical seeding", "the world is flat...", "devils face in smoke of towers proves it was not terrorism"

Even if there was direct video footage of Epstein (who was on suicide watch) hanging himself, they'd claim the video was altered to remove the assassin, or the footage was staged with actors. Even if this footage released was perfect (all videos working, all guards doing their jobs/rounds properly), they'd claim the date had been doctored and it was another night.

The media are feeding into it as it gets them viewers and probably because it's also quite funny :D
The fact *we* appear to be here too is either people enjoy a giggle, or people think it "has legs" :D

Do people here believe he didn't commit suicide or something?
