Request: Make Relief Pilot Invisible
When I sit down at a ship's controls, taking over from the Relief Pilot, they often block the player's view for a couple seconds as they stand up from the chair. Would it be possible to make them invisible whenever the player is seated at the controls, so that they don't block the view?

Quickly double tap the sit down button and it works fine, what they could do is just make it so you instantly sit down rather than the first time you press it orders the pilot to get out of the seat.kurushimi0 wrote: ↑Mon, 7. The problem I'm talking about isn't sitting down quickly, it's the fact that if you sit down before the relief pilot has started walking away from the seat, then you stare at their hips for several moments before they finally start walking. It's no more than 2 or 3 seconds, but if you're taking over in a combat situation, etc, then it can be a pain to have to wait for them to quit blocking the view.

No, if you do that, relief pilot's butt will materialize in front of your face for a split second and will then disappear. Every time even.
Basically when you force-sit via double tap, the pilot will play an animation, and then will start walking away from the seat, but for the first few moments it will be standing ON the seat. With butt right in front of your face.

The pilot changeover is, in my opinion, another opportunity to do minor roleplay. I always assume that if I needed to get into the pilot chair RIGHT NOW! then I have already messed up the tactical situation or did not train my relief pilot well enough. My bad.
I always politely move out of the way of the outgoing pilot to allow them to pass before taking the seat (especially on a Cobra or a Hydra) and I imagine the exchange of banter such as 'Excuse me Captain, have a good flight' or 'That's the third time in two minutes we've swapped over, is there something going on that I should know about?'

if I was their coach, I would impose an immediate disqualification on these pilots and permanently revoke their access to the cockpit.Alan Phipps wrote: ↑Sat, 19.
