Re: Russia-Ukraine War
so in non news, Trump apparently had a call with Putin who to no surprise of anyone who isn't MAGA, repeated that Russia isn't done in Ukraine. The information that was known two years ago.
I feel like Trump is misquoted when he said he is "disappointed".
Why are you disappointed, Trump, with the man who has all the cards? Did you give him the one card you had by stopping supplying weapons?

Re: Russia-Ukraine War
It appears that due to the bombing of Iran North Korea, China and Iran are backing the war in Ukraine even more. US literally made things worse. Iran could start enriching and experimenting along with North Korea in North Korea in exchange for missile technology, money or oil. They already have all the equipment, etc... Iran still has it's enriched Uranium. Iran only had about 8-10 days worth of missiles left which might have been slightly greater than the number of days Israels air defense systems had. Iranian military officials went to China after the attacks. Iran would have had to cross several countries in open ground just to attack Israel after it's missiles ran out.

Ukraine used long-range drones on Friday to strike the Marinovka air base in Russia's Volgograd region, more than 270 miles from the front lines, destroying at least two Su-34 fighter-bomber aircraft.

The raid destroyed or degraded more than 40 Tu-95, Tu-160 and Tu-22 M3 strategic bombers, as well as an A-50 airborne-early-warning jet, according to officials in Kyiv. That would represent roughly one-third of Russia’s long-range strike fleet and about US$7 billion in hardware. Even if satellite imagery ultimately pares back those numbers, the scale of the damage is hard to miss.

A year and a half ago I was wondering how long will it take till we see interceptor drones - now we have whole range of drones dedicated to this:

Now we need giant Zeppelin as a drone carrier and we'll have real life Protoss Carrier.

Not a bad idea, have some mini blimps loaded with interceptor drones. They would be able to launch from a high altitude, allowing greater range for the interceptor drones.mr.WHO wrote: ↑Mon, 14. As far as I have heard Russia is pretty much running out of cash, so much so Putin has been emptying the bank accounts of his oligarchs and there is pretty much nothing any of them can do, if they do complain and stand up to Putin at best they end up in jail, at worse they end up six feet under. As for the little people they are caught in a rut, they have no money to start with but now with inflation being over 20%, interest rates at 20% and stagnant wages things are pretty much looking bad for them, and there is next to nothing they can do about any of it, just like the oligarchs.

Ukraine blowing up some of russias shadow fleet of oil tankers
https://euromaidanpress.com/2025/07/09/ ... oil-fleet/
A wave of covert explosions striking tankers tied to Russian energy exports appears to be the work of Ukrainian special forces, according to a detailed analysis by Tom Sharpe OBE in The Telegraph. While no official confirmation has been issued, the precision and pattern of the attacks strongly suggest a coordinated sabotage campaign.

Don't know if mentioned it before, but the BBC reporter (Steve Rosenberg) in Russia does a daily round up of the Russian papers which are also starting to report a recession.felter wrote: ↑Fri, 18. Pretty sure those subs are always in the area. It means nothing IRL. I suspect/am speculating that this has more to do with Trump trying to change the focus of media attention to something else than Epstein documents.chew-ie wrote: ↑Fri, 1. Aye - it's also very odd that a president reacts in this way on the same-old-same-old rants of a measly subordinate of Putin.Warenwolf wrote: ↑Sat, 2. Nevertheless, talking nuke threads is no good idea in my book. Nothing good comes out of it.

US delays patriot missiles and other stuff to Ukraine until 2026. Pretty much make a statement then avoid fulfilling the statement later.
More US sanction threats. Should be interesting to see if they ever apply them.
Nuclear sub thing might be detrimental to US security? Likely better detection near Russian areas. Also doesn't really matter. Once the nukes start flying.
Russia might be running out of tanks.
More trains blown up.

1) Yes, but thanks to some production queue switcheroo, Germany just delivered some batteries to Ukraine, so will several countries - this should be able to plug some holes till 2026.
2) Unfortunately direct US sanctions on Russia will do very little. However, the game is on indirect sanctions against Russian quiet trade partners, like India and China - these could have huge impact.
3) Note an interesting fact - last week tsunami/earthquake dammaged Russia submarine base in Pacific - at this very moment nuclear subs threads have much more impact.
4) Unironically, Russia is always running out of tanks (Covert Cabal is good for covering this topic along his sattelite footage of those giant tank storages) - still I think it's very (un)impressive for Russia to be able to burn through 60 years of cold war stocks in just 3 years. That takes "Special" in Special Operation to whole new level

However, as funny as this sounds, this is dangerous - I call it "Kuznetzov effect" - Russia was for decades chained and burdened by trying to keep that old junk running, wasting heaps on manpower, money and workhours.
Now that the cold war junk is mostly gone, Russia can and will be more agile (someone will start to think - "we ran out of tanks, how or with what can we replace them?").
