Possibly relevant: only avarice is loaded
Steps to reproduce: press backspace while moving (only tested in S Ships)
This makes positioning XS docks near each other for quickly claiming abandoned ships more problematic. This is more so a problem when claiming ships in xenon space or enemy sectors etc.

I have even seen the ship fully turn around on a engines full stop like it's on autopilot.
