Space fuel is illegal for Teladi, OTAS M7s never respawn

Post by fireanddream »

:| :sceptic:
I kept losing my Teladi license until I caught one Osprey hanging around my PBG fac. It was just a quick relocation because good thing I don't bother with self-sustained complexes any more.

On another note, OTAS never seems to respawn their M7s at all. The game starts with a Sirokos & Aquilo. I boarded both hoping for an Astraeus, none shows up.  I wonder what happens if I kill the two Boreas too. If nothing happens I'll destroy the HQ.

Space fuelnwas always illegal Teladi, it's space weed that is fine.

If you look in the race section of the encyclopedia it'll tell you what wares are illegal in thier space

For the M7, I think they are shared with M6, so it'll spawn either an M6 or M7. So you might need to take out any M6 you find too

That's the thing, they had a lone Skiron a long time ago and I captured that too. That was on like day 4 and I'm day 9 now. I checked OTAS HQ from time to time. All three ships were RE'd. All the Venti I forced bail resapwned too, but no M6 or above.

For anyone else having the same problem, just know that the M7/M6 from OTAS are spawned as escorts to the Boreas in Legend's Home. If the Boreas stays the escorts won't respawn.

I blew up the Boreas (and the HQ, don't know if it matters). A few hours later a Boreas + Aquilos + 2 Skiron spawned from thin air.

I blew up the Boreas again, the escorts went for the OTAS shipyard, docked and despawned.

Sadly for me, there Boreas like to stay in Aladna Hill. I've chosen not to engage them as I have high rep with the Argon that I prefer to keep. I've had issues with police getting mad at ships I've captured there as well. And not relinquishing that state even after comming with the weapons fire in error. It will turn blue a second and almost immediately go hostile again.

Anyway, its a precarious thing with those. Use too much brute force and the game likes to make you pay.  :gruebel: :D

I also get an Argon Titan going to New Income, pissing off the Teladi because it engages any Split, Paranid or Strong Arms in system, and the Teladi respond with rapid response ships, usually missile frigates that almost destroy the Titan.

So those ships can be a pain to track down, and problematic if you want to eliminate them.

I know some just enjoy the carnage presented, but the Think portion of the game is more hazardous.

Sorry, just adding my 2 pennies to the mix.

There will always be a Boreas in Aladna Hill. That one doesn't do anything. If you strip shield fast enough + ram you barely lose any rep at all as it is seen as a travel accident. I used an Agamemnon with PSG for this.

I noticed something a bit interesting today. I needed to get the Split panther blueprint, so I boarded one in Shareholders Fortune. I did it in full view of a Teladi military condor. It did absolutely nothing to respond to my attack on the Split in there space. But if I shoot back at a Strong Arms aggressor who shot first, they always get mad. :gruebel: I'm sure it makes sense to at least someone, but it eludes me for the moment still. I wish I could apply this logic to the Otas in Aladna Hill. I mean, game cannon declares them as a terrorist group against the Argon for there take-over of Akeela's Beacon.

The rep loss wasn't bad either.
Started at 12% with one red and one white bar. After I was 84% with 2 red and one white bar.
