The X4 world is static, sectors remain under the control of the same factions. Yes, we can take them over for our own faction but we cannot build an Administrative Center in the name of a particular faction. For example I would like to start a game as an Argon and clear out the freeky 3-eyed Paranid sectors to the south and claim them for the glorious Argon Federation.
This seems easy enough to implement. Get to maximal faction and add a drop down to the Administrative Center to select the desired faction, mine or one I have raised to 30.
I would also like to start the game as any race and raise them to total domination, even the pirate ones. I would love to raise the Yaki or Duke's Buccaneers from simply being an annoyance to total domination!

I'm hoping it'll allows us to change the number of jobs a faction has.
More specifically I want to be able to "broker peace" or whatever you want to call it between VIG and their neighbors so they can stop having so many pointless lag makers.
Then maybe you can create a trade/defense deal between say ARG and TEL so they both get more combat jobs. Or vice/versa. Though short of just having them stop their wars, I cannot imagine lorewise what that would entail.

I'm still very tuned - if not hyped - for more details

Any chance for an update, now 2 month after the announcement and Q2, 2025 coming to an end? You sure must have an idea of the core gameplay mechanics going to be implemented by now. How close are we to an BETA, will there be a BETA at all?
My curiosity would sincerly appreciate it.

More communication in advance about the details of how they plan to implement diplomacy would do more than merely satisfy player curiosity. On more than one occasion, Egosoft has tried to implement player requests, but has misinterpreted what we were asking for, and gave us something which misses the mark.
If they were to provide more in depth explanations of what exactly they are planning, long before release, it would give players more advance time before release to let them know if they are on the right track with their ideas, and potentially make adjustments before fully committing themselves to something most players do not really want.

They have also given things that hit the mark "perfectly". Alas, all players did definitely not want those things.Falcrack wrote: ↑Thu, 26. Now:
Players have zillion disagreeing ideas. Devs decide and implement something.
Your proposal:
1. Players have zillion disagreeing ideas
2. Devs decide something and tell
3. Players disagree in zillion ways
4. Repeat from #2
There will probably be pre-announcements closer to release that do describe what is coming. To "soften the blow".
