Ore Mine showing zero yield?

Post by Scoob »

Hey all,

I started a fresh FL game yesterday on a whim. Progressed steadily until I got to the point where I wanted to place my first station - an Ore Mine L. I found a 64 Yield Ore asteroid in Elena's Fortune Beta and placed the mine on it. Oddly, in the Station Info Panel, it's now showing "Yield 0" as in zero, and it's only producing 5 Ore per 6+ minute cycle. Something really isn't right here.

Any ideas what might cause this? I have an L Ore Mine on a 40 yield Ore asteroid, as simple as it gets.

Note: I am using the "Guilds" mod, which changes thing, however, having used it before, Mines worked in the usual way.

Note 2: I reloaded the save from just prior to placing that station, and I can 100% confirm that it was the 64 yield Ore Asteroid I placed the Ore Mine L on. So, no mistake on my park here.

Edit: as a test, I built a second Ore Mine L on a neighbouring Asteroid - I'd planned to create a complex with it anyway - and while this asteroid is only a 28 Yield Ore, it's putting out 20 Products per cycle, and the cycle is much short (couple of minutes). So, it looks like that "64" yield Ore asteroid is actually bugged. This has quite badly disrupted this game, as I'd have to go back quite a while to be before I placed that first Ore mine.

Just for shits and giggles, try putting a silicon mine on it and see what happens....

I checked on Vanilla and there isn't an asteroid with ore at 64. That should be silicon.

:D

Yeah, it's weird. I reloaded to just before placing the Mine and the asteroid I selected clearly showed as "Ore" and not "Silicon Ore". This was the first thing I checked. However, upon loading an even earlier save - I decided to revert to long before I bought the Ore Mine - now it does say "Silicon Ore" for that same asteroid. Not sure what went wrong there, or what things the "Guilds" mod changes exactly. I might have other mods on this build - I created it over a year ago - I can't remember. I know I'd been tinkering with numerous mods, then settled on Guilds as the base mod so to speak.

I never really gave Farnham's Legacy any play time in vanilla, only after updates and mods came out (or were updated) for it, did I create an instance.

Anyway, thanks for the reply.

Yea no problem. It was the yield value that gave it away for me. 64 yield is typically silicon. So I checked it on mine.
