I'm using the mod "Phantom Crew Revealer" to fix the hidden crew bug mentioned here.
The composition and number of the replacement crew does not match the original ship. For example, a fighter with 3 service crew might be replace by a ship with 2 service crew and 1 marine or just 1 service crew. I have also noticed some ships will have no crew at all.

Does the issue occur in an unmodded game?
If so can you upload a save where the issue occurs? (Preferably before ship destruction.)

I disabled all my mods and load my last save file. I took one of the Perseus, tail number ads-719, from the fleet named "CTG Alpha" and destroyed it. After the replacement ship joined the fleet, I saved a new game. I repeated this three times. Each time the replacement ship should no crew assigned.
The tail number for the replacement ship in order of save is:
nzr-959
twu-924
cle-379

Disabling mods does not make a savegame that was made with mods installed unmodified. The effects of those mods are still in the savegame.

I used creative custom to create a clean save. Made a fleet and saved. Then I destroyed wcn-057. It was replaced with vjf-000. After the new ship joined I saved. It shows no crew for the replaced ship. I updated the Google Drive with new saves

Thanks. I think this is the expected behaviour, as the ship replacement does not do anything with crew, but I will ask someone to confirm that.

This will be fixed in the next 7.60 beta. The phantom crew was not intended and they will be patched to be service crew. Any new ships being replaced will have their service crew and marines replaced with rookies. Note that this is based on the last moments of the ship, so if any crew bailed before then they aren't attempted to be replaced.

The purpose of this forum is to get bugs fixed. If you have a use case where the issue still happens in vanilla 7.60 release then please make a new thread about it and post a link to a vanilla save that ideally shows the issue about to happen reliably after you do some described steps on loading it.
