Hostile Traders of the Treasury Department 7.10 beta 5 - no repro

Post by ragnos21 »

Periodically, the S-class traders from the Ministry of Finance, for some unknown reason, become hostile themselves. In my sectors, they are destroyed, after which the reputation falls. It happens at any moment. I'll send you a link to save after the merchant is destroyed. You have to wait until a new one flies.

I suspect this is happening because my police is trying to scan the merchant. And since I have removed all the restrictions, the merchant simply refuses to scan. Should it be like this?

Your speculation is likely incorrect, you no having any illegal wares should not mean it will cause issues. It can happen that police scans and ships fly away and as such there can be a reaction, this happens the other way around some times too. Loaded your save and let it rn for quite a while but nothign happened. If you have a save where this is easily reproduced that please share that as it can take a large amount a time for Min to send a ship as they dont have many.

Hello. Most likely the problem is in the police. To prevent a war with Min, I transferred all the police to regular patrols. And the problem disappeared. The traders stopped becoming hostile. Apparently the problem is related to attempts to scan. Either the trader resists, or he flies to another sector during an attempt to scan. In any case, reputation should not suffer here. The player cannot be responsible for the stupidity of other pilots. I think this problem is related to another problem that I described on your forum - when the police attacked a ship with contraband from Argon and the reputation decreased.

Speculation like this is not helpful, especially when you have just been told that it is incorrect. Please focus on providing evidence, i.e. a savegame and steps that reproduce the issue.

Hello again. I transferred several fighter flights to the police. The problem was recreated, but not with Min but with the sop. Their s trader flew past the police flight under the command of the AZR-289 fighter. The flight stopped. The trader disappeared into the gate, going into the neighboring sector. Became hostile. Two police flights gathered to attack him. I think it's the same problem as with the Min s traders.

I'm trying to reproduce the problem. But so far the Min traders don't become hostile. But periodically a hostile Min trader flies through my sectors. And he doesn't become friendly. Would it be appropriate to save with a hostile trader in my sector? Would that help?

Found a funny thing. S Syndicate traders change their allegiance to Min. It turns out that the Ministry traders do not become hostile. It is the hostile Syndicate traders who somehow change their faction allegiance. In the Russian localization, the faction names are similar Min and Sin. The difference is one letter. But, perhaps this has an effect. Allegiance clearly changes. When a ship is destroyed, reputation drops from Min. Just follow the ship JLO-003, going from Greed, through Unexpected Score 3 and 1

Pirate ships use cover making it look that they are from one faction until they get uncovered by police.

When a pirate faction uses cover, it is visible. Here the name changes purely to Min. And in case of destruction of this ship in my sector, the reputation drops from Min
