7.10 [Beta 3] Improved firing range accuracy of turrets (Feedback) - fix confirmed
Good day,
After testing last changes in turrets. The shown behavior is suboptimal and worse than beta 2, for instance some large turrets (like L Paranid Plasma) are having trouble to aim and fire reliably when firing platform (ship) is moving.
Here a save with a Raptor trying to aim its large Turrets without firing reliably on target:

To reproduce behavior, just get ship at maximum speed!

Tested Again, I find another example of not optimal behaviour. My ship is L Plasma Turrets doesn't priorice attacking capital ships as stated. They keep searching for targets without firing:

Sorry for repetition.
I did another test, this is the best one I can deliver.
Basically Paranid L Plasma turrets are tracking and at adequate firing range yet those turrets won't fire even with a high probability to hit their target, this happens after last beta 3 updated turret algorithms:

In the save the camera is already centered on one of malfunctioning turrets, so is as clear as can be I guess to reproduce.
I did another test, this is the best one I can deliver.

Good day. I faced the same problem. I noticed one pattern. Turrets stop firing after firing at large ships or stations. They no longer respond to any orders. They begin to work normally again after flying to another system.

Yes, of course, I understood that. Haven't entered the game yet. I'll upload the save later. Version 7.1 (pack 3), no modifications, clean game.

Hi. Here is my save file. The ship is standing next to the stantion and the turrets are no longer firing. If they start shooting after loading, then fly up to the station, let them shoot and fly away. Turrets will not respond to small ships after that. a small observation: in the neighboring sector of the "Choice of Hatikva", the turrets worked normally, shooting first I, then K.
Version 7.1 is beta 3. There are no modifications. Localization is Russian.

I have the same problem that the original poster, but with M turrets instead.
In the provided save, I'm piloting a Rattlesnake that is under heavy attack of Xenon corvettes and fighters, but the ARG flaks of the ship are unable to hit anything while in movement (I'm trying to leave the sector as the shields are about 20%).

Today I discovered that the turrets start firing again if you stand up from behind the controls of the ship and take control of it again

I discovered an interesting thing. When I described the problem with the turrets, I was piloting an Erlking, yesterday I switched to a Raptor. His turrets always fired without any problems. Perhaps the turrets only stop firing on Erlking. I'll check this today.

I think turrets have this problem due to priorities. I've noticed that turrets crash less often when set to "attack all enemies". When setting L for turrets to “attack large ships first,” an error often occurs with a ceasefire on all targets. It's on Erlking.Pesanur wrote: ↑Tue, 30.
