[BUILD] Boron Solar Power Plant (Final)

Post by alt3rn1ty »

Boron SPP

Needs : 10x10x10 Plot, and version 7 or above of the game.
Blueprints required :
Boron 4M14S dock, Boron Hexa dock,
Boron L Container Storage, Boron M Container Storage,
Boron Cross Connection Structure 02, Boron Base Connection structure 05,
Boron Disc Defence Platform and lastly just the standard Solar panels.

And dont forget the Cargo Drones (Set them on the Logical Overview)
I also assigned 2 Sturgeon Traders to it.

Designed this because I had a need for more energy in Ocean of Fantasy (Which in version 7 of the game only has Sunlight of 12%) to support my Boron PHQ.
Its probably a bit overkill in storage and production for sectors with better sunlight.
So if you wish to optimise it take a few Solar panels and M Storage modules off.

It doesn't need Habitats or Food/Meds, just a Station Manager assigned is all the bods it needs.

Aesthetically I like the idea of twisting things to make them a bit more organic looking. Have a look at the video below to see what I mean.
Quite pleased how this came out.

Used a Boron Hexa dock at the bottom for L traders, and a Boron 4M14S dock for M/S ships at the top.
Hopefully they are far enough above/below all the Solar Panels to stop any AI piloted ships hitting them when you are In Sector.

Defences : It has 10 Boron Disc modules, fully kitted out with L Net Launchers to stop enemies moving and M Ion Pulse to hit both Shields and Hull.

Enjoy :)

I'm wondering if the SCA Freeport introduced in Timelines was in any way influenced by this design, or just coincidental that it is similar (with the central twisting column). Oh well I guess I will never know.

Just popped in here to say there will be no updates to this build, its turned out to be perfect for the job I wanted it doing.
Enjoy :)
