Exactly. our points are our pride, and allow us to proove our worth without having to mention our fleets all the time, there is a possiblility that if we create our own images displaying our points and ships on then it would save room, and generally allow us to have more design options, it would be a real pain to edit constantly, and more of a pain to host.

the popularity of all clans will be decreased because not as many people visit the creative universe as they do the X2 universe... this is a major problem.

you tell me how to dynamical update pictures based on information stored in a database in a way that won't take up all the (limited) NOVAEF server and i'm sure we'll all do it.

until then, how would you feel editing your picture manually every day? and how would that be done? you'd need to give everyone upload privileges anyway.

it's totally impractical... and yet I notice us clanners are the only ones who see this? and the rest pretend these problems doesn't exist and bitch at us.

This is insane! JUST LEAVE US ALONE! You've already cut our recruitment abilities to 1%. Why can't you just leave us be? Alot of the senior members of this forum stay around purely for the clans. If the clans die off, so will alot of regular posters, including me.

These clans are not just a place for RP... belive me, since I'm in a clan I have a lot of new goals to achive in X2. Maybe noobs have plenty of quests and adventures and we're kind of obstracting them... (not sure how ) but I've done the story, set up a trading empire, capped all typs of ships (exept the Xenon BIG moma), done loads of mining, had small wars with all races... and what now? (I'm finding ways to kill myself ) ...only new goals can cheer me up, and those goals I've found in the clan.

And yes, what most ppl said, these threads are only as recruitment places. We are doing all the RP on our own forums so why should this thread be in Creative Universe? (only the mods know )

DDevil has a very good point. Seeing as most of our RPs are done on our own forums, why can't we have these threads on the X-Universe forum as recruitment centres.

In the beginning of clans, first, threads where made in the X universe forum for the clans. After 1 roleplay it seemed that it was chaos, so the UNCC started an extra thread in the Creative Universe, purely for Roleplaying. The thread was then moved or closed, because clans were to stick to the X2 universe.

We disagreed, but are topics and Roleplays florished, so there was no real problem.

Then, the threads became massive and, sometimes, we shouted at eachother, but managed to come to an agreement in an adult way. At that point the mods usually arrived, threathening to close the topic, because of flaming. I personally believed, that you wished to unload your stressed server, and you weren't happy with huge threads which consumed bandwith and server power.

In the mean time, UNCC and NOVAEF got their own forums, so roleplaying was done there, and the threads on this forum where only used for recruitement purposes.

And now, the threads moved to the Creative Universe, but no roleplay is done here, so I cannot see why.

The only reason I see why, is you trying to starve the threads, and therefore saving bandwith. That's odd though, because this forum runs fine, and doesn't seem to be underpowered.

So please, mods, explain your actions, because I see some contradictionary things here.

Thats a fine memory, that is very very true, the mods really should cut us some slack, the threads have been moving INCREDIBLY slowly, I can dissapear for a couple days, and the threads only go up by one page or so, depending on recent events, Its rather silly.

Tis a good point, but as i said above, threads have been proceeding very slowly lately.

Starving the threads is pointless, as i said before, we make rare posts, and usually they keep the threads on the front page just long enough to get atleast 1 recruit a week - Here, we'll stay on the front page, but it will be more likely 1 recruit a MONTH!!!! what were the mods thinking.

well, it would be a php script taking data from lets say the Fleet Listings on our forums and generating an image, those are pretty simple to write.

Next step would be to have a program use the save files to generate the data, but the chance of that is remote if some devs don't help (at least for me )

That was my first try to fit us in the Creative Universe.... though, it's not working quite well, we shoud discuss now how to use the Creative Universe. I know most of our RP is going on our forums but maybe there's some kind of RP that we could use in here.

It is easier to roleplay on the NOVAEF Official Forums, Much easier, because we can seperate the various topics and keep them in compliance with the rules and such, a whole different type of RP would take time, maybe it would be wiser to finish all the current RP and then think out a strategy on how we can do this.
